When you run a business, the last thing you want is to deal with issues from your 3PL. Unfortunately, our experience with 4PX has been devastating to our operations. Over the past few years, their repeated mistakes, mismanagement, and lack of accountability have cost us over $100,000 in excessive fees. Despite our repeated attempts to reconcile billing issues, 4PX ignored us and then suddenly terminated our contract. When they finally admitted their errors, they compounded the harm by raising rates and demanding additional exorbitant fees to release our inventory, effectively extorting us. In almost two years of working with them, not a single bill was ever accurate and required countless hours to reconcile and revise.
Their actions culminated in over $100,000 in “exit fees” just to retrieve products from their facility. This has left us unable to sell products, serve our customers, or recover from the financial damage they caused.
These costs eroded any profitability, leaving us unable to recoup even the original investment. When we offered a reasonable solution—to release the inventory so we could sell it and pay off the balance over six months (just to pay costs charged when forced to leave because of their errors)—they rejected it and continued to withhold our products, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism and ethics.
