Negative impressions:
To start, the chicken shawarma. I found it more on the dry side and with little flavor. I think they go rather light on the lamb fat? It lacked the bold, rich flavor shawarma should have. I wouldn't order that again.
Next, the falafel. First off, they're huge. They leave an impressive first impression that way, but must be torn in half in order to be eaten. The crispy shell is nice, there's a pleasant crunch when biting into it and they aren't oily. However, they were just...bland. It was almost bready, with a subtle flavor of chickpea and seasoning. I could eat half of one, barely. I wouldn't order that again.
The Greek salad, I've yet to try. I asked for a side salad, the cashier charged me for an entree. I received the big one too, so it isn't like they skimped me on the size, it was just incorrect. I couldn't blame the cashier though, all the chatter in the small room meant we had to yell to each other in order to be heard...3 feet away from each other. If I don't edit this review with a negative comment, assume the salad is fine.
The atmosphere, loud. Seriously, don't expect to have a nice conversation at any time close to meal times. You will need to yell.
Oh, I also asked for a cup for water. When I got some from the soda machine, it tasted...just wrong? Like, unclean, or of some chemical. I was shocked that the water to wash down the meager meal was not itself a refreshing change.

Neutral impressions:
The hummus was fine. Smooth, but the flavor is nothing to write home about. Likely pairs well with anything on the menu.
The beet salad was okay. I was expecting more of a pickled flavor. They were just...lightly seasoned beets. Vaguely sweet. If you like beets, try them out.
The rice, well it's rice. As far as rice goes, it was fine I guess.
The refrigerator drinks, well they were as good as any bottled beverage. The price isn't surprising.

Positive impressions:
The baba ganoush was good, about as good as any I've had. Probably the saving grace to my meal.
The chicken kebab, according to my mother, was good. I assume it was a more neutral flavor, but they didn't look particularly juicy. She liked it though, so I'll trust her judgement there.
The Mediterranean salad, she found refreshing. The chunks of cucumber were huge though, about as thick as your thumb is wide. I prefer something chopped more modestly, but that's ultimately personal preference.
It's air conditioned. When the weather is hot, that's nice.
The employees were nice. They were doing their job, good to guests, overall friendly. Please tip your servers.

Overall, the meal was pretty mid. You get a lot of food for the price, probably enough for 2 meals. That said, I wouldn't want to eat the food twice.
Edit: My phone is dumb and...
Read moreAs many others have stated through the reviews on the delivery service I used (GrubHub), they did not get my order correct. "They" meaning the restaurant, not the delivery service. I could not contact GrubHub to tell them of the omissions. It kept giving me a "check your internet" message; mpy internet was working fine. Anyway, I ended up having to call the store directly. It was an "okay" experience - not great. After putting me on hold as soon as the line was answered, then asking over & over again what I ordered, what my name was, what time I ordered the food, etc. (making me feel like they thought I was lying), they did end up refunding the main dish that wasn't delivered, but NOT the small things that weren't delivered, like garlic sauce. Although the amount paid was small ($0.75 + tax, each), it's still money paid WITHOUT RECEIVING the item. I wouldn't be complaining as much if the amount they gave equaled the amount paid, that is, the expense is greater than the value, so I already paid too much for what little they would've given. Admittedly, I was willing to pay the price, but that was in exchange for SOMETHING. Here, I received NOTHING! I only gave 3 stars because I did receive a (partial, albeit the major portion) refund, otherwise, the rating would've been lower. Although the food received was good, not getting the food ordered took away what good it was as one person had to go hungry, if not for the others having to share theirs (which then took away from their experience too). If you want to take a chance on NOT getting what you ordered, especially if you're having the food delivered, then, good luck! Otherwise, I'd recommend you find...
Read moreMy husband and I noticed this place last summer while it was under construction. We found out they just opened their doors this past Friday. On Saturday 1/13/24, we decided to try them out for dinner. My husband phoned in our order before we headed down.
I got the chicken shawerma ($15.99) and my husband got the falafel entree ($14.99). The entrees come with rice, pita, choice of 2 cold appetizers and choice between garlic sauce or tahini sauce. We both got hummus and the red cabbage salad.
Parking was not a problem. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Our order was also ready. There's no outdoor seating but there are tables inside and there was already people eating inside when we came in. At the last minute, my husband also got 2 pieces of baklava to add to our order.
As soon as we took our first bite when we got home, my husband was immediately impressed. I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say this place exceeded my expectations; from their service to their food. Everything was delicious and it was a generous portion of food. My husband was already asking me today (Monday) when we are...
