What else can I say...this place is "INCREDIBLE!" There are thousands of square footage of "things" to look at and products for (I think) every outdoor sports hobby. We live about 5-6 hours away so whenever we take a vacation or trip nearby Rancho Cucamonga, we always plan a side-trip to the Bass Pro Shop. It's our 5th one in about 3 years.
One place you don't want to miss is the big freshwater aquarium with huge fishes (bass, catfish and more) just floating & "hanging out". The store did a magnificent job re-creating a lifelike atmosphere for the fishes. My kids absolutely admire the humongous fishes (some bigger than my 5 year old daughter) going back and forth. There are also two floors where you can also see the fishes from above the water (just take the elevator for convenience).
Overall, the Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga is a great place to visit with your family. If you have kids, there's lots of "nature" to see. Whether it's your first time or 5th time (like ours), you'll spend lots of time wandering around and gazing at the awesome scenery every time you go.
My Bass Pro Shops "Pros" & "Highlights": Lots of parking spaces. Also, lots of other businesses nearby (restaurants, fast food, clothing, etc.). Great atmosphere with lots of displays to experience. Visually stunning - each department's decoration & scenery is outstanding! Freshwater aquarium tank filled with (huge) live fish + river with live Salmon. Friendly/helpful staff. Tons of products + wide variety of products to choose from. Very clean & organized throughout store. Big & clean restrooms. Handicap friendly (from what I noticed, handicap parking near entrance, rails, gates for wheelchairs, elevator to go to 2nd floor, wide aisles, big doors, etc.). Great family experience & orientated. They host holiday events for family (especially kids). Lastly, they have boats on display and for purchase too!
Unfortunately, all the pictures I took had my kids in them and the only one I took without them is posted here....however the pictures just don't do JUSTICE. You just have to go to experience...

Before I entered, I took a walk behind the building to take a look at the small pond out back. A lot of people don't know about it. It has cascading water and is so peaceful. There is a bench and some spots you can sit on. I like sitting in the shade and eating a sandwich.
Upon enerering, you are blown away by high ceilings and so much decor! Taxidermy, rifles, fishing gear, and a massive fireplace. Threre is comfortable seating if you wish to relax. Admire the view. Before you leave the lobby into the main area, you will be greeted by an employee. Walk in and look up!
Be sure to check out the big fish tank loaded with crappie, striper, catch fish, largemouth bass, and more. If you're lucky, you'll witness the feeding of the fish. Also, be sure to check out the trout swimming around near the fishing area, surrounded by taxidermy and so much gear. Look up, as you will find more to admire. The first floor has all the boats, kayaks, canoes, float tubes (I recommend the White River Fly Shop), clothing, furniture decor, fish finders, and so much more. The first floor also features the Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant, which itself has huge saltwater fish tanks.
The second floor has all the firearms, shooting gear, and everything hunting. The second floor also features an actual shooting range on one side, and the other side has an archery range.there is also a cool, fun laser shooting range for everyone to enjoy. It is coin-operated, and a coin machine is available for change. You will also find BBQ grills and supplies, along with camping gear and more clothing. Hiking supplies are abundant. A plethora of footwear is present.
Look, I can keep going and going just like the Energizer Bunny, but I'll end it with this. Even if you're not an outdoorsman or outdoor adventurer, just taking a trip to BPS is like going to a museum. The children will have a blast! And it's free to enter, of course. Tight lines and support the Second...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal Bass Pro customer for years, but my recent experiences have been nothing short of disappointing, both online and in-store.
On June 1, I ordered a large safe. Since then, I’ve received multiple shipping updates saying my safe was on the way, with a FedEx tracking number provided. When I checked the tracking, it incorrectly showed the safe as delivered. I contacted Bass Pro’s customer service and was told that FedEx does not deliver items over 150 lbs. (my safe is over 300 lbs.) and that a third-party delivery company would be handling it. I also called FedEx, who confirmed the tracking number was valid but that they don’t handle deliveries of this size.
Every time I’ve contacted Bass Pro’s call center, I get the same answer: “We’re looking into it.” But what exactly are they looking into? It’s obvious from their system and my repeated calls that the safe has not been delivered and isn’t even out for delivery. Multiple agents have confirmed this. Yet no one can seem to provide a real update or solution. It’s been nothing but stalling and vague responses. This is unacceptable for such a large purchase.
On top of this, I’ve visited the Victoria Gardens store three times in the past month, and the in-store experience has been just as disappointing. Every time I went, several employees were just standing around behind the gun counter talking about their weekend instead of helping customers. I put my name in the system to look at firearms I was interested in and didn’t get a text to come up for over 2.5 hours, even though the gun counter was clearly not busy. It was just groups of employees chatting with each other, completely ignoring the waiting customers. That’s highly unprofessional.
I expected much better from Bass Pro Shops. Cabela’s has always had their act together and provides much better service. Bass Pro needs to seriously address their shipping processes, customer service, and in-store professionalism if they want to...
