YMCA in red bank has a policy don’t talk on your cellphone while you are on the cardio machines or workout area. I believe this is the most ridiculous policy you could have. This not a library , court, movies, hospital, funeral home. How could you tell someone not to talk on there cellphone this is a free country. What’s the difference of two guys talking loud to each about the football game. Or two women talking about how there thanksgiving went. People are talking all over the gym what’s the difference??? What a big turn off. I’m at the gym and I’m talking to a client and I was told to get off the phone. This gym just gives you stress. When you are there to relax. Really don’t go there. It’s also very small gym one flat bench. And you have to wait 20-30 minutes to use is cause there are men taking turns and TALKING to each and wasting time on the bench. Those are the people u should tell don’t talk, And hurry up off the bench. Your policy...
Read moreI am sorry that everyone else's experiences haven't been so great, but all in all I really love this facility. For the most part, the facility strives to keep it clean at all times. When you go there on a consistent basis it is nice to interact with other members and a cohesive environment forms as we are all there for different reasons, but it is nice to walk in and people are supporting you through your work outs. I have, however experienced some abruptness and rudeness at the front desk, but overall there are some who are very friendly and love providing exceptional customer service. I love their programs at the Y and their equipment is okay, sometimes malfunctions during a work out like the ellipticals. The prices are reasonable for the quality you are receiving. The environment is relaxing and I feel amazing after I just get up and go even if I feel tired and...
Read moreNice place, they update the equipment all the time. Great staff, pleasant, helpful. But they need to be open longer hours. Closes at 5 pm on Sat and Sun -- that's when people are off from work. You can have the world's best gym but if it's not open when people want to use it drastically cuts the value of the membership. I don't feel they consider the members, just what the management feels is right. Poll your members -- that's an easy thing to do these days online. Ask us if we want longer hours of newer equipment. One day there were no more towels because too many were being stollen. There are many solutions for that. What new equipment would the members like? No one is ever asked. Personally, I'd like the option of going to the gym at 7 or 8 pm on a weekend. Other gyms have...
