Volunteering for the Jr Giamts is a great way for my son and I to keep up on our skills while also teaching some the game for their first time. I was also able to find a few camps my son and daughter both enjoyed. The skateboard camp was perfect for my son to finally break through the I can't mindset he was in. Camp Eureka taught my daughter a lot about nature and taking responsibility for ourselves and to do our part to protect the environment. During the summer there is a pretty good-sized Farmer's Market right behind City Hall, 777 Cypress. There are people selling fresh veggies, chicken and duck eggs, as well as hand raised, artisan meats. It's a good place to meet people and have a cup of coffee and a tamale. They open at 7:30am every Sat. morning until about noon.
