Three years ago, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. My doctors advised me to improve my diet and exercise, which led me to the Sequoia YMCA. My friend Billy suggested I try Amy’s bicycle exercise class, and after just two sessions, I noticed a significant boost in my strength and, even more importantly, my mood.
From that moment on, the YMCA became more than just a place to work out—it became a community. I’ve met incredible people who continue to inspire and encourage me every day. I’ve explored various programs, including Senior Exercise and Zumba, all of which have been fantastic. If only I had the time and energy to do them all! I also joined the aquatic exercise program (six times a week!) and even became part of the aquatic volleyball team—what a blast!
Then, three months ago, my doctors performed another biopsy. This time, the pathologist found no cancer cells. None.

Read morehorrible place, i appreciate trish for her help but yesterday me and a buddy came by ymca around 1:50 mind you they close at 2pm we were only there to pick up a friend and a staff member comes out cause their closed and we are still waiting on the friend mind you we are in the car parked next to her with our windows rolled down she couldve easily told us to leave the parking lot or get out but nope she leaves locks the gate, so at that point we are stuck in the parking lot with my car and no way to get out and she did it to be rude because 20 minutes after we found out we were locked inside the same lady passes by that locked us in just ti see if we were still locked in it was a white blonde lady driving a black nissan altima i think something should be done we were stuck for 2 hours the lady couldve had the courtesy to tell us hey ima close the gate can you guys leave instead she locks us in and passes by 20 minutes later for no reason now i will be coming down there today as well to file a complaint on her. its...

Getting tired? Move your workout to the TRX room, where the aroma will snap you out of your funk and motivate you to be efficient and get your stuff done asap, so you get get the heck outta there. One of the many benefits of carpet in a gym.
