My 19 month old toddler gets a solid dose of some basic necessary exposure at this park:) From the top: *Side note for caretakers-- It has a little parking lot which fills up fast during peak hours HOWEVER there is super easily accessible FREE street parking if need be.* The playground itself has two separate play structures. One for the older young kids / one for toddlers. Wood chips as the base of the play area. (Meh.) Relatively clean. Mixed culture's, which is a plus, frequent this park. The universal language between toddlers is 'Play Time' 😂❤️🥰!! Pickle ball happens here on a regular basis throughout the week. There's a basketball court, a nice one at that. Teenagers unite to play ball AND there are a mini set of bleachers for spectators 😃. So there are plenty of opportunities for my boy to experience/ observe people playing sports in real life. There are two groomed fields used for soccer & football practice...or to fly kites.... Or a blanket & basket styled picnic 😃! Short lived walking trail to the bus line. I believe weekly events/activities are hosted here to keep the spirit of unity, camaraderie & FUN alive❤️❤️❤️ Con--no working water fountain. Surrounding area & parts of the park itself are under construction.

While the park looks great - the basketball courts are fresh and the baby swings have a spot for mom or dad to swing in front of the baby... I was specifically at Washington Park for the pickleball courts! They are great, by the way. Good lines, no cracks on the hardtop, convenient fences to divide the two halves (no division between courts on the same side), easy entry/exit on both sides. The parking lot could be bigger, but other than that it's a great park and great...

New playground equipment is great and offers a wider range of developmental choices. A larger, taller equipage for older kids, a smaller set for younger kids, and 4 swings, two regular, 1 for baby with a grown-up seat/stand in front, and one chair, also with a seat/stand in front. Such an improvement...
