staff was so friendly.
The food was embarrassing. the "jumbo wings" (LOL) were the size and quality of Tyson Anytizers from the frozen section at the grocery store. Rubbery, fatty and TINY. They were around $15. An absolute joke.
the Cesar salad, actually a wedge (not sure if lazy or confused), though large in portion was wilted and soggy.
Also got the meat ball appetizer with “garlic bread”. Meatballs were the texture of wet cat food and void of any flavor. meatballs were covered in 2 inches of unseasoned ricotta. Did not compliment the cat food well. The overly warmed/chewy bread was only flavored with cooking oil- zero flavor in the entire dish not even salt. Also $15.
The pineapple chicken lettuce wraps was 3 ounces of overly salty soup with handful of chicken in a ramekin. chicken tasted almost canned/ squishy/ jelly texture? same size ramekin filled with corn and only a couple shreds of pineapple that were hard to find. the warm, wilted lettuce was piled high though.
grilled cheese was decent. we all wish we had gotten the kids' grilled cheese.
a huge tier below Applebees/chilis/TGI Fridays and somehow 50% more expensive. can't make it make sense. the food was foul and comical, and the prices were a slap in the face. Hope to never have to resort to eating here again when we stay at Great Wolf. the breakfast buffet has been decent in the past, but its hard to mess up bacon and eggs.
can't stress enough, the staff was...
Read moreOur check in was delayed at the lodge due to a card reader being down, so we were comped our family’s dinner for one night. My husband got the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, I ordered the grilled salmon, and our kids got chicken tenders and Mac and cheese off the kids menu. The food didn’t take long to prepare (we took the food to our room, so no comment on atmosphere). The restaurant gave me a roasted chicken dinner instead of the salmon. Both dishes are priced at over $30, but since it was comped, I decided to just eat the chicken. It was delicious, as was the potatoes and creamed corn. Would I pay $30+ for that out of my own pocket? No. But, it’s a resort, and I get prices are inflated. The kids meals had fries that were basically cold. Again, had I paid for them, I’d be pretty perturbed as the kids meals weren’t exactly cheap either. Overall… it is what it is when you order at a resort like this. The food doesn’t match the prices, but nothing really does. It was nice to have a meal that could be picked up right downstairs, but after that first night, we will be picking up Uber eats or doordash...
Read moreWhat a waste of money, $176 plus tip. My wife and I shared a steak dinner pasta with shrimp for one of my kids and a kids meal with little corn dogs plus drinks.
My $15 short class drink was mostly ice which the waitress spilled some told me she would give me some more but she never did, she did however bring me a second drink with less ice as I asked and charged me another $15. The steak was about the quality of a Dennys with a $41 price of Flemmings steak. The food wasn’t bad it just wasn’t worth the money.
The restaurant was nearly empty, we were the only family in the front section we could see a couple of more towards the back we couldn’t understand why since the hotel and park were packed on a Friday...
