Overall a good experience. The building was a little hard to find as it was within the Zawadi building, but didn’t have a large scale sign advertising its presence. I only saw a couple of small paper signs/yard signs in the parking lot. I got the Nomadic Tea with marshmallow - the person working described it as a Somali Chai. It was delicious, but definitely a sweet drink. The table arrangements were very spaced out and it felt very open which was nice, but does also mean that seating is limited. Very affordable for a local cafe/coffee shop with today’s prices. It seemed like they were under a partial remodel, so the number of tables/chairs may expand, and outdoor signage may be added in the future, but that’s just based on assumptions. Overall, I would recommend!

July 10, 2025 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My quest for great coffee brought me to the Nomadic Cafe in Bloomington, Minnesota. It was a wonderful experience. The cafe specializes in espresso drinks made exclusively from Ethiopian beans. The beans are roasted on site and served fresh. The drinks are full bodied. I had a Spanish latte. It was full of rich flavor. Our group shared an assortment of fresh baked pastries. The chocolate croissant, apple turnover and chocolate muffin were all tasty. The staff at the Nomadic Cafe was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They showed great pride in the business and gladly explained the operation from bean to cup. The Nomadic Cafe is worth the visit, whenever you are in the area. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all around!

I love the hot Nomadic Classic Tea. The spices and sweetness are both amazing. It's my second time having this type of tea, but it was in another coffee shop, and this exceeded my expectations. My hubby had the Cinnamon Brown Sugar Flavor tea and it was good as well, using the same base as the Nomadic tea. Had the strawberry tres leches and it was good. Service is nice, friendly, helpful and quick. Thank you for a great afternoon tea time! P.s. it was a bit hard to find the place, it has a small sign on the door.

I happened upon this cafe after a quick google search for a coffee shop I could meet up with a friend at near the Mall of America and saw this place had great reviews. Driving up I was a bit confused what I was looking for, but my my GPS did bring me right to the front door. The cafe shares an entrance with a restaurant (Zawadi) that has a very large sign but thankfully they had several smaller signs around the parking area so I knew I was in the right place (a business park, on the side facing the hotel). The coffee was fantastic, I believe they said their roast their beans on-site, and the atmosphere was perfect for catching up with a friend. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend stopping by to support this small business and the fantastic restaurant next door (think Chipotle but with savory African...

Was looking for a coffee shop nearby when running errands in Bloomington. GPS took us a little short of the entrance and it looked like they were closed. I called to check and they were open but the entrance is further along, just inside the bigger main entrance to the building. Some signs say Nomadic Cafe, some say Zawadi Cafe, so it's a little confusing for first time visitors. The person on the phone was helpful in directing us and friendly when we arrived. Coffee was OK - latte was nice and hot. We had a raspberry Danish - there were a lot of these available but no real choice of Danishes - there were also muffins available. Cafe was quite empty at the time of our visit so difficult to gauge the atmosphere. Overall, not a bad place to stop for coffee, but a little difficult to find and not a lot of choice...
