Ok my cons & honestly could have just been this particular hotel. I did let the front desk know & some things were resolved. But when comparing to Hilton Garden Inn across the street I would pick the Hilton. The staff was nice but not family oriented like they were at Hilton Garden Inn. They werent really interested in doing anything extra even though a big group of us were there for a month. The patio closes at 9pm so when you get off work late dont plan to have much time to relax on the patio because they boot you out, same with the basketball court but then that pushes the kiddos into the parking lot & hallway where they yell and scream at all hours. No one seemed to say anything. I mentioned it to staff and they just shrugged like theres nothing we can do. So not ideal if you are working early or crazy hours itll be hard to get any sleep. Only one of the burners worked on the stove & it was the small one. There was brown liquid coming from the electric panel. The cleanliness in my room was not the best but not the worst. However my coworkers had their dirty towels rehung on cleaning days, something slimy on the headboard, & obvious items never swept. Another coworkers water heater broke & leaked all day while we were out soaking the bedroom floor. The bbq has bbq tools but was never cleaned. The shuttle sucks they only go on the hour to airport so you could wait up to an hour, they go on the 30 to the mall & no special requests. The breakfast was not the greatest quality but its free, they start putting things away 5-10min early and are strict at closing. I thought it was super cool the staff can get whatever is left though. One coworker found a metal piece in her eggs, honestly eggs were always super runny like undercooked & they were scrambled. I enjoyed the bacon & waffles though. I would highly recommend paying for breakfast buffet across at Courtyard. The locks on all the rooms were being rekeyed when we were there. They started on my room super early on our day off, then would start on my room & keep leaving it. Leaving it open & vulnerable with tools and metal pieces sprawled everywhere. I finally just took my important items & went to the mall after the guy answered a phone call saying some extremely inappropriate things. I did let the staff know & they said they would address it. All in all not my favorite hotel but not the worst. Knowing you have a better option at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street I would stay there. Yall know I keep it real & honest with you! Because I truly care about you having the best trip possible. #travelagentlife #traveltoexplore #passportlifestyle #budgetfriendlytravel #travelagent #adventuretraveler #destinationworld #passporttolivingblissfully #msp #accomodations #hotelreview #marriott #residenceinn #minnesotahotel #minnesota #minneapolis #travelagentsoftiktok #traveltiktok

This was our first time staying at this location/at a Residence Inn. It's nice they offer two bedroom suites, it was perfect for our family! The pricing was reasonable, I thought, especially for the location and made it affordable for us to have a getaway. As other reviews have said, this location is in desperate need of some cosmetic attention/small repairs. (In our room there were water spots, carpet pulling up/frayed in the bathroom doorways, stains on the carpets, the couch and chair were extremely worn and uncomfortable, the stove had 2 burners that were tilted so bad you couldn't use them, the fridge door had to be pushed extra hard to stay closed, no forks, TVs would refresh every few minutes/not display the guide, very smelly dishwasher, nail polish on the table from previous guests, and dripping shower faucets.) With that being said, the room was very clean, the beds were comfortable (they're taller than usual beds), the linens were crisp and clean, and I like that there were 2 different shade types on the windows. In one room there was a birds nest, so that was fun to check for birds. We felt very safe staying here. The main areas were very clean as well and looked nice. The lobby has a wonderful calming smell, which was nice and kept from smelling pool smells. (I wish I could have bought some of whatever they were using, it smelled great!). The breakfast area is nice as well and offers many types of seating as well as a wide variety of provisions, which some changed from day to day. The people taking care of the breakfast area did a great job keeping things stocked/warm/cold. The pool area is nice, although loud. I was disappointed that there was NOT a hot tub as shown in the photos, it is now bathrooms. (I'm guessing part of the remodel?). I do wish the pool towels were a bit larger though. The staff were absolutely hands down some of the best in customer service that I've experienced recently! Kudos to them! When I asked about the best pizza delivery the front desk lady suggested Fat Lorenzo's, and I was super excited because they have the best pizza and we don't get to have it often. In conclusion, if you're expecting a perfect looking building, this might not be the place for you, but if cosmetics don't bother you much, it's worth the stay! I hope they're still affordable after the remodel because I would for sure stay here again! Even the other guests were respectful and kind, which was a nice perk.

I drove five hours away for my kids and I family vacation. Just to get there and my room 428 has a roach in my room ( picture below) my seven year old son spotted the roach in the corner look how nasty the corner is right by the dishwasher. I went down to the front desk an when I told the girl she was not surprise she did Drop the rates an stated that if I wanted to leave I will not be charge! However I just got off the highway I have a 2bedroom suite where am i about to find that on a weekend! I was move to another suite just for the ac to be broken an smell like heat! I got up an told Madison to call her manager cause I’m not paying for these rooms an the room had no ac an on top of that I read the reviews an I’m not the first person who stated they have roaches( I wish I read the reviews wrote I book! ) she goes to the back like she making the call! I had my friend in the line that’s a witness. She comes out to say we will only charge you for the one night a get the maintenance man up there when you leave. My kids an I leave the hotel to come back a nothings done still smell like smoke no ac and MADISON IS NOT THERE. The next morning we check out at 7am I tell them I will like my receipt as I’m being charge both nights an I was told that I was not. The lady said she didn’t show that in the system. I ask for the manager a the manager comes out rude slaps the appear on the table a say this what we gonna do we gonna charge you both nights. Proceeds to be very rude did not Knowledge the big inconvenience the no sleep I had not even apologize! I should have known that it was an issue due to this parking lot being empty on a weekend! Please don’t try to lie as I have 3kids and a teenager that witness this. I even have IPhone with date a time the picture was taking and the location. I would not be returning to no of these properties this is unacceptable behavior especially for a manager! The lesson I learn was to make sure I read reviews before booking this is unacceptable! This is the response I got back like once again I needed a handout!! I paid for what I wanted and did not get it! Was lied about what they will do and did not provide. Plus the manager was rude!! I was not looking for a hand out I was looking to enjoy my stay for what I paid for a that did not happen people plz be carful!

We were in a King Studio with two young children. Our family of four have been here before and enjoyed the hotel’s pool and other amenities. Unfortunately, as of December 2024, the hotel has permanently removed their pool and we didn’t know this when we booked. However, they have an arrangement to allow you to use their neighbor hotel’s pool (the Courtyard Marriott), which is a short walk across the parking lot.

The quality of the room was generally okay. The bed was very comfy and was the highlight, but don’t count on the sofa bed to be—very lumpy and I spent the night rolling into the deep crater already in the center of the sofa bed mattress. The rooms used to have drawers underneath the TV stand, but they have since removed that set of 3 great sized drawers and installed two smaller drawers beside the desk. The drawers never wanted to stay shut and constantly opened by themselves. We had to put our luggage in front of the drawers to keep them from opening.

The studio also has a kitchen with a full size standing refrigerator/freezer, which was great. There was a sink and they supplied dish soap and a dishwasher. The kitchen also included 4 cereal bowls, 4 plates, 4 mugs, forks, spoons, butter knives, a small cutting board, a serrated knife, a steak knife, and a colander. It was stocked well enough for our small family. However, despite providing dish soap, there wasn’t a sponge to use. The bathroom was nice enough with a full size shower, but not a bathtub—not a problem for us, but just wanted to let families know in case this was a dealbreaker. Also, there is a small electric range with 2 heaters, but only one was working—and of course, it was the small one that was functioning. The larger heater was not working.

The hotel’s breakfast wasn’t bad—not as good as a Holiday Inn, but the oatmeal, eggs, potatoes, and sausages were okay.

The gym was very small--it was okay, but nothing to write home about. The gym at the Courtyard Marriott across the parking lot was much better.

Overall, the hotel was fine but it was better when they had a swimming pool and before the minor updates in the room. Instead of the moved drawers, they should have invested in updating the sofa bed mattresses. If you have a need or a preference for a hotel with a kitchen and a full size fridge, this was a good place. If you need a place for your family, this was adequate. However, if the kitchen amenities are not required for your travels, I would recommend another...
