Want to give this gym a 4 star review...unfortunately the staff sucks.
My wife and I contacted the gym (by phone) with an interest to join. The associate who took the call gave us the name of two gentlemen, one of which should return our call within 24 hours. Sadly, neither associate returned our call. This occurred twice in 3 days. Because of this, my wife and I chose to walk-in and physically speak to someone on a Saturday.
Dave was the gentleman we spoke to physically, and he was very professional. He covered the different deals the gym was offering for the month. We settled for 2 sets of Personal Trainer sessions at 3 sessions for $99 per set and they waved the first months membership fees. We were told a Personal Trainer would contact us the following Monday.
By that Wednesday we still hadn't heard from the trainer. My wife contacted the gym again to set up Trainer sessions. He wasn't available, so they took a message and promised he would call back in 24 hours. He never called. By that Friday we still hadn't heard from him. So again we contact the gym, explained our frustration and that we would really like to schedule these sessions (we were told "use 'em or lose 'em!"). This time we were promised to hear from him in the next 2 hours.
As of today (May 26), we still have yet to schedule these damn sessions. 2 weeks since signing up! Honestly, I don't believe the PT deserves my time at this point. My wife and I thought these sessions would be a great way to learn some routines since we haven't been to a gym in 15+ years.
Unfortunately, the staff doesn't seem to have our best interests. One would think new members would get better treatment. New members tend to have friends that may be potential customers. My wife and I have referred many friends in these two weeks. A couple have joined, giving us each a free month. Now I'm a bit hesitant to recommend Gold's, simply due to poor customer service. Something that can/should be TOP priority!
As for the environment, the gym is nice. Plenty of equipment. It can be very busy at times, making it hard to stay focused. Sometimes you find yourself waiting for a machine or rack to open. Occasionally, they have no towels to wipe the equipment down.

I’m fairly new to this particular gym and when I first called I was able to quickly schedule a tour with a member specialist. Quentin gave me the whole 411 on prices, equipment, amenities, the culture, you name it. I was in a very low energy mood when I walked in for my tour, but his awesome energy and incredible knowledge, (as well as the price) had me leaving excited for my first day as a member. As soon as the next week rolled around I was immediately greeted by the staff, to include Quentin who didn’t just remember my name, but also my personal story and reasoning behind why I started seeking out fitness. I already had a great first impression of the man and this was a cherry on top of his already amazing character. Fast forward a few weeks I’ve been on this journey and the whole way Quentin and some other staff members like Brandon and Luis for example, (and others I wish I could remember their names forgive me lol) have continued to motivate, inform, help, and do anything they can to make sure my quality of life is peak happiness. I wish I could personally speak to everybody that is considering this gym as their home gym, so I can share my journey as a member with them and tell them this is the place to be.
As for the gym itself: the pool, basketball, pickleball, and racquetball courts, as well as all the other amenities are great. The low price I’m paying to be able to use all of this and the gym equipment too is perfect for my low budget. AND I was able to get a free first time appointment with a personal trainer when I first applied for my membership. The smoothies are so good, make sure to grab one on your way out. Anyways thank you Gold’s Gym for continuing to employ amazing staff and literally changing my life to the point of making me want to tear up in joy floating around in the pool lanes out of pure happiness of the changes in my lifestyle and the support I’ve been receiving. Thank you all so much, seriously from the bottom...
Read moreIsmeal has helped me achieve some of my biggest horse goals, he has helped by training specifically to my equine sport. He listens when I say I ended sore or weak in a certain area, has me working specific muscle groups to help me maintain my intensity. He hears me when I say I have had enough and is able to push me without me realizing to a new milestone.
Thank you, Ismeal -
06/17/2025 Update - Ismeal is consistently going over my program with me, listening to what I think I feel as a weakness, working to improve those weaknesses. I wouldn't be able to keep riding like I do and feel as good as I do while riding if it wasn't for Ismeal's help each week. I just participated in a special training clinic.... I came back with tips to help me improve. Communicated them with Ismeal, and now my program is changed to support those needs. My sport takes moving in a different way, holding positions that are not typical, while remembering your pattern. You want your body to be automatic memory in strength and stamina.
Going to the gym isn't always about 'showy" muscles or becoming a body builder overnight. My Sport is not the typical, football, running, etc... There are other activities that require physical strength and stamina. Ismeal (although not a horse guy) helps me stay consistent, train to my sport. Without his encouragement over the last year and a half, I might not have achieved some of my biggest goals. He is always trying to get me to eat better too... :) Thank...
