Our tables were given away BIPOC be aware! My girlfriend and I were discriminated against by staff. I purchased a lunch cruise we arrived at boarding. My name was on the manifest for two and we were assigned to the upper deck table 24. Side note ( purchased a message in a bottle with a sentimental message to give to my girlfriend )
So, we enter the boat there was a staff person at the bottom of stairs we were again asked our table we said table 24 and proceeded upstairs. The waiter assigned to the upper deck asked a third time our table number again we responded number 24, the waiter looked around and pointed to our assigned table where three women sat. One woman acknowledged " oh I thought they said table 20." All the women seated at mine and my girlfriend table stayed seated and we were placed at their table. Table 20 was NOT a table for two people. Table 20 was directly in front of the stairs and most importantly table 20 was NOT our assigned table.
Remember the side note above, so the well intended gesture was ruined because the three women that helped themselves to our table pushed aside the message in the bottle plus here's the kicker my name was written on the bottle which leads me to the discrimination. The staff never once approached the women to inform them of their oversight, instead we were placed in an uncomfortable situation filled with microaggression. The staff made an excuse twice for the women " they must sat at the wrong table." Okay, and what did you do to correct it? Nothing. Needless to say we departed and asked for a refund. Read moreWe took the New Year's Eve brunch cruise to celebrate our wedding anniversary (yes, we got married on New Year's Eve!). We found it frustrating that we did not receive the drinks that we ordered until the boat had turned around and was headed back to the dock, and even then only because we went and asked for them. We also did not receive water until we asked for it. I know it can be difficult getting drinks and food out to an entire boat of people at the same time, but if that is your business model then I think you should be able to accomplish it. The staff was very friendly, but rather inattentive. We stepped outside to take a picture, and when we came back in we were confused about when to go get our food, and there was very little direction from staff. The atmosphere was lovely, and it was a beautiful day! The cabin was warm enough, but again we were disappointed that our window fogged up and we could not see out to the view. Overall, for the money paid, I expected better out of the experience. The food was only mediocre, and the fact that we had to wait most of the cruise just to receive one glass of champagne and one bloody Mary (which they had made up a bunch ahead of time) was disappointing. We have cruised with them once before, and had a wonderful experience that time. So hopefully this was just an off day for them, and we will be able to enjoy cruising with them again. Came for a brunch cruise on September 14th to celebrate my moms birthday. First I would like to star by saying as soon as we sat down the tables were extremely close together making it super difficult and hard to get in and out without hitting the person behind you. Secondly our “server” was rude and not friendly at all. We were seated at table 9 and the short gal with pink glasses and tattoos was our server. She did not once introduce herself or wish my mom a happy birthday. She brought out more water and slammed the water onto the table as if she was mad, rarely checked on us. Thirdly, food was mediocre and was honestly a joke. It tasted like cafeteria food that had been warmed up multiple time. First time it came out it was extremely cold and the sausage was basically frozen. We let our “server” know and she just said “which one” not an apology or anything. She brought us out our food and this time it was barely even warm, but we ate it being that we were hungry and waited a long time for this food.
