I should have written this review a long, long time ago, but I just kept procrastinating! My experience at Atomic Alchemy was just too great not to leave a review at some point! I visited this shop just a day or two after it opened in December. I went in looking for Christmas gifts, and instead I ended up shopping for myself! It's a very small, charming shop with loads of products to fall in love with. There was lots of cute jewelry and a few eco-friendly products like beeswax wraps. The owner told me that all products in the store are locally sourced, and I could tell that there was merchandise from local artisans/artists! The floor plan of the store is very open and comfortable, and there's a nice amount of sunlight. It was a little confusing at first to find the entrance, because it shares an exterior door with the realtor agency to its left. The door also kept blowing open with the wind and I didn't feel like I could browse privately in the store because it's so small and open, but overall these are trivial details and it's a great shop! I spent a lot of time talking with the owner, Shannon, and she is a very nice person! She was very happy to answer any questions that I had and make small talk. She was also really patient and kind as I was making my custom fragrance. She has a wall with shelves full of fragrance extracts and a nicely organized binder that categorizes all the different scents available. She was willing to let me sample anything I wanted, and would pour a drop or two onto a little paper stick for me to smell. I learned some new things that day! She also let me mix and match scents to see what I liked, and we went through several different combinations (SEVERAL) before I settled on something like black tea, orchid, elm tree, and a few other things I don't remember - I just know I still love the way it smells! That's right - the small perfume container I got three months ago (and cost only $14) is still mostly full today. I chose to put mine in a "roller (applied with a small metal ball at the end of the container), but she had spray containers too (and I believe she had different sizes). She also had me give it a name (so cute and special!) and she wrote it down so she could give me the exact same beautiful concoction if I ever want to buy it again. Overall Shannon is incredibly kind and her store has lots of treasures. Also, come on - isn't it super cool that you can go in and make your own custom perfume? I could spend ages just trying different combinations - it was such a fun experience! I highly recommend checking out this local business!

Such a lovely shop with good energy. The owner is sweet and welcoming and very knowledgeable. She makes her own products in regards to lotions, perfumes, etc, very good quality stuff and smells AMAZING! You can also make your own perfume with her too. Stopped by today for the first time and got a mystery bag for $25 but the items in the bag were worth much more, but I really lucked in! Will definitely be back!

I signed up for the custom perfume blending experience and had a blast. The owner is sweet & very knowledgeable. I was really impressed by the whole process. The shop is filled with all sorts of fun stuff and I enjoyed shopping and choosing a candle/room spray made in house. A fun, unique experience and I can’t wait to do it again!

First of all, I LOVE this store. Every single time I come in, I feel my stress start to melt away and I am excited to just see what is new. There is ALWAYS something new to see!

After working in customer service for the better part of 25 years, I have a huge amount of appreciation for small businesses and people who treat their customers like old friends... and this is one of those places. After shopping here only once prior (and during a very busy sidewalk event, no less) I decided to call in to see if they had a particular gemstone piece that I was trying to acquire as a gift for my best friend. Shannon (the owner) took my call, and told me that she did not have what I was after but that she could certainly order one for me through her suppliers. She asked me some questions to clarify exactly what I wanted to ensure what she ordered would be perfect for my needs, and then asked for my number so that she could call me when my order arrived. She genuinely cared about making sure I was able to get exactly what I wanted, and never once asked me for a deposit. She called me about a week after to let me know that she had it available for me, and that she would set it aside with my name on it so that I could come and purchase it on my weekend. I made sure to come in when she was at the shop herself so that I could thank her again in person, and enjoyed visiting with her when I was in. She also crafts some fantastic lotions, essential oil blends for diffusers, perfumes, wax melts, and more... along with making some beautiful jewelry and other cool pieces. She supports other local artisans by offering their products on her shelves as well! If you want to treat yourself or treat someone you love to a special gift, keep it local and check out...

Stopped at the shop hoping to find some essential oils to help my shop smell less like rubber tires and more like holiday magic. Shannon helped me find the scents that would work well and suggested some ideas for possible blends. She is extremely kind, helpful, and knows her stuff! I have tried her perfumes before, and I tried the frankincense and myrrh room spray- her scents are amazing! The quality of the oils I purchased are top shelf. You've definitely gotta check this place out. May be your one stop shop for gifts this season, cuz she has a ton of great items in that...
