Over the span of nine years, I have practically raised my daughter at this restaurant. Long work hours, and daughter attending school nearby.... we would stop here at least twice a week for all of those years to eat our dinner together and not get into the Hanford traffic on the way home. The food is quality, the people have been exceptionally kind and it's quite comfortable to be greeted by a familiar face, time after time. Rainy days, sunny days, snowy days, good days and bad days, were all spent here with the people and food of Chapala Express on Lee. We moved away for a few years and couldn't resist visiting Chapala Express when we returned on a trip. How delightful to be greeted by many of the familiar faces working there. I'm a little shocked that I haven't already left a review for Chapala Express, because it's been my favorite restaurant for several years now.

The "Express" in the name is well deserved, as their service is lightning-fast. I've seriously never had such a short wait time between ordering and receiving my meal. It's literally fast food, but it doesn't taste like fast food.

My go-to order is the plainest of the plain: A combination plate with a bean and cheese burrito, and a cheese enchilada. It's simple, it's delicious, and it's just what I enjoy. But I've never managed to order something that I didn't like from this place. If you haven't tried it, I'd suggest trying the enchiladas norteñas. That's three enchiladas with meat of your choosing, topped with a couple of fried eggs.
