First I have to say I never give bad reviews even if I’ve had a disappointing experience but this is something that really bothered me. I have been to this place two times both within this last month. The first time I believe Selena is her name did my eyebrow tinting she has the dark hair and always has her brows tinted and they look really nice. She didn’t really talk much but did a very nice job on my brows. This second time today the other girl with the two toned blonde and dark brown hair did them. First when I walked in I was so excited and in a good mood looking forward to my service I said hi to them soon as I came in they both were sitting at the desk just looking at me as if I was in the wrong place. When I finally got up to the desk they asked me what I was getting I told them eyebrow tinting they said ok have a seat they still sat there talking at least 5 minutes before getting up and starting my service . They started speaking in their language to continue their conversation and just seemed so unpleasant towards me. Then a couple minutes later two girls Caucasian and Asian walk in they both spoke to the both of them soon as they walked in the door. Very pleasant and welcoming. They pointed to the seat for the white girl to sit in and Selena (I believe) instantly walks over to start her service and also conversated with her the entire time. When my service was over I paid with my debit card she gave me the receipt to sign I signed it then waited for my copy , the girl who did my service was the one handling the transaction she stands there just looking at me like I’m stupid and says “ Yes” I’m like can I have my copy? then she gave it to me. The energy I got from them was soo uncomfortable. After getting in the chair I really just wanted to get up and leave I felt unwanted , and when they were so welcoming to those other two women I knew it was because of my race and they were discriminating. I will never return to this place I never experienced racism first hand from a business but this definitely felt like my first time. I really thought this was going to be my new place to come every couple weeks but never again and I’m a cosmetologist as well I would never treat my...
Read moreThis is the second time I've been to Brow Spa and the SECOND time they’ve messed up my eyebrows. I went last year and my eyebrows were visibly mismatched with one coming in way too far and being far boxier than the other. I thought this was a fluke based on the google reviews (tip- look at the yelp reviews) and figured I give this place another shot while shopping. BIG MISTAKE.
Unfortunately, my eyebrows are again visibly mismatched— to the point where my sister looked an my brows and actually apologized. Seriously, I could have done a better job blindfolded.Unfortunately, I had already left by time I noticed how badly they were done, but I wouldn’t even trust them to fix it.
This is the second and last time I give this place a chance. I really regret paying for my eyebrows to be butchered to the point that it's embarrassing. I honestly have NEVER in my threading experiences had as bad of jobs as those that were done here, and I've been to a lot of threading studios in multiple cities. If you care about how your eyebrows look at all, please do not get your eyebrows threaded here.
Edit: this is not a scam. If you want pictures and proof, check out my review on yelp along with the other 28 that give this place 2.5 stars. Unfortunately the day I got my eyebrows threaded here was my last in St Louis. Thankfully my eyebrows have grown out and I have gotten them re-done by my trusted...
Read moreI use to go to this place for years before I switched. They definitely do a fantastic job with eyebrow threading. However, customer experience is a big part of service so I have to give it a 3 because of my last experience. I decided to go back to them again on a whim.
After threading I wanted my brows tinted. I asked for a medium brown because typically it still ends up looking darker once it mixes in my natural brows. In the past when I've gotten tint here years ago it would end up looking a little harsh. I wanted it to look dark brown but not black. The blonde lady tells me it won't look good and my skin is a bit too dark for that.
She continued to argue with me about it. When she finally said ok I'll do the medium I just said that's okay because the attitude about it. I finally just let her do the darkest color. It did look really good and not harsh this time. The problem I have with the experience is her attitude and arguing with me about. I have had dark brown, medium brown as well as even slightly reddish brown depending on how my hair may be highlighted. Sometimes I want my brows to match the highlights. All looked good. She should not limit her black customers by what she believes can go with our skin tones. She could've just said ok off the bat and if I didn't like it I would've had her...
