The Candlelight Society's tribute to Adele was a truly magical experience! The intimate setting with flickering candles created a mesmerizing atmosphere that perfectly complemented Adele's soulful melodies. The talented musicians captured the essence of her voice and emotions, transporting me into a world of pure musical bliss. From the moment the first notes echoed through the room, I was captivated by the raw power and vulnerability in their performance. It was as if Adele herself was singing right before me. The arrangements were beautifully crafted, highlighting the depth and richness of Adele's music. Each song was delivered with passion and sensitivity, evoking a wide range of emotions. The audience was completely enthralled, singing along and swaying to the familiar tunes. It was a truly unforgettable evening that will stay with me for a long time to come. If you're an Adele fan or simply appreciate beautiful music in a unique setting, I highly recommend attending a Candlelight Society tribute to Adele. You won't be...
Read moreAn incredible place full of wonderful people. I never knew a secular community like this was possible, and now I'm wondering why there aren't more of them. Their Sunday offerings include a 9:45 Forum topic, a Platform address at 11, and a coffee hour afterward. If you'd like to meet new people, you can use one of the yellow mugs and will make new friends quickly. If you're living far away from Clayton or you're just shy, their Platform address is available on YouTube under "Ethical Society of St. Louis." Their weekday programs have something for everyone, but unfortunately I lived too far away to attend most of those. I did make it to a great deal of Humanist Hangouts, and it's one of the tightest friend groups I've ever met. I'm lucky to have been brought to Ethical Society, and hope I can visit many more times in the future, when I hope to...
Read moreI am seriously considering becoming a member here. The members are warm and inviting. There are so many volunteer options and great speakers and programs for kids. I wish we weren't so busy all the time so we could attend more of their events. I love the "Yellow mug/white mug" tradition. If you want to be talked to by members, you grab a yellow mug and people will come chat you up, if you wanna blend in, just grab a white mug and enjoy coffee/tea/water in peace. They have books for sale (for $1) and a great playground with hiking trails for the kids. There are artsy things and foodie things and all sorts of events. I'm really proud to be a...
