I went in a week ago (on a Tuesday) to get my iPhone 8 Plus & iPhone 6 screens replaced. The guy, Jordan, was very nice and greeted me politely and he was very fast with my 6 but my 8plus took alil longer of course but he replaced both screens fairly quickly. My 6 looked great, just the same as it was before the replacement, but my 8plus looked very cheap and the color is very dull and looks like the tone is completely off and I could tell the technician knew I noticed from the way he kept looking at me. After having my phone and using it I knew something wasn’t right. I called in the next day (which was a Wednesday) and spoke with Jordan and before I could even finish telling him my issue, he completed my sentence which told me he knew exactly the issue I was having. He told me they would “fix it with no charge” of course and told me he could get me an iPhone screen instead of the refurbished screen and I told him I would come that following week (today, is Wednesday). I live an hour and 10minutes from this place. I called and told him I was on my way and when I arrived he snatched the phone from my hand trying to act like he was playing but I’m sure he wasn’t. He replaced my screen with the exact same refurbished screen as before and told me it’s going to look like that because it’s not an Apple screen. But just the week before I spoke to him and he told me he could get me an Apple screen. 🤷🏽♀️ So what happened? Why did I just drive all the way back up here for u to replace it with the same exact screen.??? He proceeds to try and explain to me it’s not an Apple product so it’s not going to give Apple quality (ok I told him I understood) but my whole point was WHERES THE APPLE SCREEN YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE FOR ME?????? I would have paid for it if that was the problem. I just drove 52 miles to get the same screen. Jordan got so aggressive and aggravated and was talking to me and his coworker like we were on the street. He got so loud and nasty with me I cannot believe how disrespectful he was being towards me. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT SMH I spoke with the owner and he gave me a full refund for both of my phones. The only reason I’m giving them 3 stars is because the service is good for the price and they’re very quick and also for Mr. Blue’s customer service and for his wife, the co owner, for personally calling to apologize to me for Jordan’s behavior. But the owners shouldn’t be sorry about anything, they shouldn’t have to apologize for that guy but they did and I appreciate their professionalism. Jordan should not work with the...
Read moreEDIT#2: I went through the photos that other people had posted and found a picture of the guy who sold me the ipod and refused to take it back or give me a proper refund. this place is such a scam. The owner is trying to make it seem like they dont sell ipods, which i was told they dont but his employee (in the picture) made an exception and sold me a blue ipod because they had two of them in their inventory. moral point of the story, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY
EDIT: I saw that the owner responded and said I had the wrong place. I am not an idiot, this is the correct location. One day, I purchased an iPod, which they normally do not sell but they had 3 in their inventory (which i was told wasnt the usual case for ipods). If you check their store you will see that they have a bunch of old tech like original macbooks and such that they more or less put up for display. the ipods were for display but the guy sold it to me anyways because I REALLY wanted to buy it. When I purchased the iPod, it was dead and they said they didn't have a charger for it at the store. So I went home and charged it and when I turned it on, I saw that the iPod was logged into someone's iCloud account. After talking to Apple, I tried to return the iPod but the same guy who sold it to me said "Oh I was doing you a favor by selling that to you so you can't return it." Which I found quite ridiculously.
Original Review: The white guy who worked here sold me a device that didn't work. Basically the device was logged into someone else iCloud and Apple said unless I had that persons iCloud information, that I wouldn't be able to use the device. When I tried to return it, the guy refused to accept the return.
Also the five star reviews are fake, they give you a discount if you make a good review. So people just say nice things to get a few dollars off.
And if you try to sell your products here, they'll only give you a little bit of cash and then turn it around and sell it for 10 times as much.
You're better off purchasing a new device from a pawn shop (there's a few down town) and selling any devices you have too...
Read moreThis raving review is long overdue. I stumbled across Experimac during a snow day. My home fax machine was not working and I had a document to fax. I couldn't make it to the office so I was looking for a neighborhood print shop that I could walk. I was happy to find one - however, my happiness turned to disbelief. They didn't fax. They could scan and email but they couldn't do that until the next day and it would cost $16. No thank you!
As I was walking down the street, I saw Experimac. I was curious (ok - maybe nosey). I was pleasantly greeting. The store was clean and inviting. Mr. Blue and Kelvin entertained all of my 10 year old son's questions knowing that we were not going to make a purchase. He even invited me to his office to fax my document for FREE!
About 2 months after that encounter, I actually dropped my phone in water. I knew I would be making a purchase from Experimac. Mr. Blue patiently helped me to pick out the right phone for my needs and budget. Literally, as he was writing the invoice, he looked up and asked if I had insurance on my phone. He allowed me to use the computer in his store to order my new replacement phone - knowing he would lose a sale. Talk about putting the customer first!
One would think that customer service, cleanliness and knowledge is enough to patronize this business. However, there's more. Leonard and Kelvin believe strongly in community service. There was no hesitation when I asked if he could facilitate a STEM workshop for my son's organization, National Society of Black Engineers, Jr Chapter. The lesson plan was well-thought out, engaging and informative!
For all these reasons and more, I would recommend that any one looking to purchase or repair an IPhone or MAC product, stop...
