Great local spot. I was here a few days ago on a day off from work. It’s a relatively small beach that’s grown in popularity over the years. To the north is Point Richmond where there’s nice restaurants, small shops, and coffee spots. To the southwest of the beach is a hiking trail that is within walking distance. It would be nice if it was an area we could actually swim in, but the water is filled with a lot of seaweed. However, you do get access to some great views of the bay. On a clear day you can see the top of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are no lifeguards here so please be mindful. Other than that, check it out if you’re in town.

I've been coming here for years with my partner and it's a joy to now bring our children here. There are lots of street parking but it's a bit of a walk down to get to the beach area, but the biggest treat for us is to walk along the abandoned railroad tracks. Today on the whim we fed the squirrels and tons of them came out begging for food! They weren't too aggressive but if the squirrels didn't get the foods and then the seagulls were just super aggressive to get the food so that was annoying.

Absolute quiet and gorgeous little honeycomb hideaway area where it's a friendly and family orientated environment. Excellent walking and biking trail along the beachside. Parking is great, accessible, and affordable. I definitely suggest as I will be returning. Best part for fishers>>>you DON'T need a FL to fish off the pier!!

I've been going to this State Park for almost if not 40 years. And it is sad to witness the vegatation decline. For the past five years I've been taking pictures of the pines dying and then being cut down. Today I saw four of it's oldest trees one of which being it's biggest was cut down. I think they were Eucalyptus trees. They had the leaves that smell like the Herb Bay leaves folks put in speghetti .Those trees are no longer part of Richmond California's heritage. They were beautiful and sent out a pleasant aroma. Not anymore! Whatever the reasons were for cutting them , know for certain ,that's a big loss for George Miller/Knox / Keller Beach...

Perfect views ,of all three bay area bridges, the bay bridge ,golden gate and the Richmond / San Rafael bridge . Nice calm and relaxing hike from Keller all the way the fishing pier along side the shore enjoy the views and clear you're mind ,nice friendly people are always passing thru to respond to you're hellos with mutual smiles ,I feel safe at early mornings as the ranger is always visible during the day and at evenings if you prefer a little later walk I have noticed the regional park police " thank you officer's" for making it comfortable for an evening walk ...p.s. don't take my word for it go see...
