In the age of covid this place brings back a comfortable feeling of normalcy and a quiet laid back chillness. Everyone is of course masked and I'm sure each olive and grape gets wiped down daily. The reuban sandwich is decent for not being prepared by a Goldberg or Steinbaum, 3 out of 5. Portions are smaller, price is higher but not bad and one isn't left feeling hungry. The coffee is hot and doesn't make one regret not going to peets or something unknown, but if you demand hazelnut creamer or half and half then better luck elsewhere. Staff is nice and won't make you feel out of place regardless if your decked out in your Gucci and Cartier gator kicks or looking like a mad Wilding freshly returned from some mental journey in some far off dragon filled land... thank you for that =) outdoor setting was very welcome... aaaaand! The icecream!!ice cream!!! 6/5 for the peanut butter and the Kailua flavors!!! Dude!!! This stuff rocks! I'll be back for this soon! Worth it this ice cream was very much so! Thanks and yummy! Would love to have this creamery make more sales and make their way into all stores in...
Read moreI have purchased many sandwiches from Boar's Head Deli. On my latest purchase I called in my order and ordered the Brickyard Cove sandwich. I order this sandwich the same all the time. This time, after requesting sliced sourdough bread I received a sourdough roll. When I went back in to have it corrected, I was treated most rudely. I was told by the person who did not take my order that I had ordered a roll when that isn't the case. I said no less than 5 times I wanted SLICED sourdough bread. I was told they would give me the bread I could remake my own sandwich. When I requested that they put the insides of my sandwich on the new bread I couldn't believe how I was treated. Ben is quite possibly the rudest person in the store. I don't recommend this deli as I have been treated rudely most of the time. The sandwiches are good but not worth the price. I am giving a one star rating due completely to the rudeness of one...
Read moreAs a local business owner here in Richmond, Iâve been purchasing small items in this shop for the last year. I am in in dismay of how the young male employee in the shop treated me as a customer on the morning of 5/29/20. As I was carefully grabbing some drinks out of the cooler while having to navigate the pallets on the floor, the employee approached me and threatened that âI would be paying for the glass if I broke it.â After telling him he might want to be more mindful of his words with customers, he told me I can go somewhere else. No problem!
PS: Never had an issue with the older man who is most likely the owner of this store and who was not present this morning, as heâs always been friendly. The young lady at the register was also helpful, but you may want to reconsider who your other staff members are when theyâre directly impacting your bottom line and causing the loss of...
