I don’t know how this place could have more than 3 stars, maybe. Here’s what we experienced eating here for the first time: Ambience: Run down 70s dinner. Pink and yellow walls, dim and low miss matched color lighting everywhere (trust me, not intentionally), spills and gooey stuff on edges of furniture. Menu: One of those places that has a million items on the menu but bet don’t do a single dish great?? Food took a respectable but worrying 15 min (just wait and I’ll expand on this). Ordered a chicken sandwich, waffles and chicken wings and a kids full breakfast menu. Here’s where things got REALLY sketchy:
The chicken sandwich was undercooked. Overall pink. Got it remade, new one came back… still pink (I’m not making this up). Also, tasted like cardboard seasoned with water and butter?? No flavor plus bad flavors in it. Couldn’t take a second bite. Bacon came, I’m not exaggerating here, like a bacon jerky that got deep fried and got extra extra dry, like crumbly dry turned to dust dry. Got new ones…. Tasted like they came out of an open container that’s been sitting out for roughly 2 days. To say the least, left them as they came, on the table.
Service was subpar, and this I blame the owner for. He was there, I confirmed with the server. He had no idea of what’s going on at our table, if he did, even worse. Because he never came to address the awful situation at our table (just me, wife, and our 2 girls). In fact, I didn’t see him check on ANY of the tables while we were there… I was being aware of this giving our pressing circumstances! but he did have the time to come to the one next to us and spray the table to clean it from what appeared to be ceiling height.
We must have came on a very bad day… I’m seriously baffled at the reviews this place has. I keep telling myself there has to be a mistake with the reviews system and the place is being confused with another one.
I told my wife jokingly when we left… “well!!.. we found our new breakfast place!!!” She almost killed me with the look she gave me.
Don’t think we’ll ever be back...
Read moreWe came to this restaurant on Super Bowl Sunday 2025 with a party of 8 for my mothers birthday. We expected it to be busy, so when they quoted us a 20-30 minute wait, we were fine with it. Those 30 minutes, plus some, went by and a tall young man calls us and offers to sit us in two booths, sitting back to back. We gratefully decile as we are celebrating my mother and we would like to sit together.
At this point smaller parties are getting little to no wait time and we understand that a party of 2-4 is easier to seat than a party of 8. Now, I'm not sure if he was a host or some sort of management but he approaches us 15 mins later and tells my mother to follow him and he would show her where he was offering to seat us, I followed and again he offered two booths apart from each other. Or we could wait a little longer for a table for 8 that would become available soon. We told him we were in no rush and would like to sit together. We walk back to the front and we notice that smaller parties that arrived well after us have been sat in tables next to each other that could have otherwise been pushed together for a larger party. Again, we attempt to be patient as my mother really wanted to eat here.
The straw that broke the camels back is when an hour and 20 have passed and we have yet to be sat. A party of 7 walks up and get sat immediately where we were told we would be sat at. When I pressed the issue, this poor excuse for a manager or host chuckles and tells me "oh yeah I forgot" and proceeds to offer us two separate booths again.
I've never seen such a pathetic display of customer service nor of front of the house coordination. I unfortunately did not catch that young man's name but if he's in charge of any portion of operations than this restaurant must be desperate because this man does not know...
Read moreHusband and I tried this place for the very first time! We have always seen and passed by this restaurant (occasional stops at Kaiser of course) but never made an effort to stop by, well that was until today.
Service was great! We arrived at 8 am on a Thursday morning. It was not busy but there were a few people enjoying their breakfast already. We were seated quickly and the hostess was sweet. Our server Amy, was very friendly and sweet as well. Checked in on Yelp to receive our free half order of an appetizer, she was on it and brought it out. We didn't have to ask for refills and she asked if we needed to go boxes for our leftovers (but we weren't rushed or anything, I just like the fact that we didn't have to ask)other staff greeted us and said good morning. Overall, friendly and definitely a comfortable setting.
The food was good, but nothing special. To be honest it varies as to what you're going to get. The free appetizer (which you're able to choose) was absolutely delicious. We got pastrami fries and we loved it. The melted cheese, onions, chopped pickles, pastrami all of it was great and they included a side of ranch (once again didnt have to ask, loved it). I then ordered the Hanks omelette. It was okay, nothing to special but it was good. The house potatoes were a bit too salty. Next time, I'd try the hash browns. Biscuits and gravy were okay, It's not something I would order again. My husband got a skillet and he said it was good.
Overall, they have a large selection on their menu, I would definitely go back and try their lunch! Those fries were delicious and honestly that makes me want to go back. Haha. If you're hungry and close by, you should definitely try...
