Michael's Plaza — Attraction in Riverside

We used to love Michaels and went there quite often but for quite some time now we've made it a point to try and only go on certain days when Haio & certain friendly employees like new manager rebecca worked or just get it online. This was due to having countless unpleasant run ins with an employee that always acted put out or deaf to requests for help as she whizzed by commenting more than once about the go backs she always has to put away for me.( Go backs btw I wouldn't have had at the register if I could have got my question answered on the floor). Last night however there was a new freshness to the store. We were racing around minutes before closing when a new employee approached to ask if we needed any help in the final moments to make things happen. I must admitt my stomach actually tightened as she approached fully expecting her to make some form of snide remark. Much to my surprise I found maybe the only other person that can rival haio's true enthusiasm to help, see what your doing next, blurt ideas and genuinely connect with the customer. Good job Michael's for hiring this delightful and super refreshing night manager Rebecca. She was such a far cry from the experience of the past I couldn't help but tell her so as she patiently closed the door behind us with Joshua joyfully and slowly ringing us up as the last purchasers of the night.( even asked if we missed anything)! That encounter with this equally dorkie bestie rebecca you never knew you had has made me change my mind about going into the store. I went there for miracle ear. Since that's the only place i went inside inside the center, i will say this. Miracle ear is FANTASTIC! You will fall in love with the receptionist immediately. She is adorable, funny, friendly, and will do ANYTHING to make your visit as comfortable as possible. ... Then there's the doc. What an awesome lady. Love twice in one day? Darn tootin! She basically purrs you at ease... Not puts, but purrs. She has the sweetest voice you could ever want to hear for the "first" time. This is place is always messy and disorganized. Staff is always in a “mood” and look like they just woke up, shelves are always empty... if you don’t have the merchandise then don’t put shelves there. You can never really find anything and instead of helping you they either don’t know or just look to bothered to help, never really wanting to go beyond their post. They’re lucky it’s the ONLY place you can go to get arts and crafts stuff, or I would go to the other place in a heart beat! They take advantage of their location and either price up or make you wait, but seriously do not want to win...
