We’ve been ordering from Mantra before the added the Riverside location (years). We strategically planned pickup times to dodge or minimize traffic from Corona. We were overjoyed when we learned of the Riverside location. All I can say is the food rocks but the customer service blows. I’d put my family in the category of a valued customer as we are patrons at least 3 times a month.
Most recently, I ordered via Door Dash while we normally spend $$$ this specific order was tailored towards myself and my 5 year old (naan, chicken tikka and rice). Very simple and minimal, imagine our (her) devastation when we didn’t receive the garlic naan 😳 I called to report the missing item (would have been thrilled with a credit). Instead, they insisted the driver ate out naan. There was no evidence that the bag was opened, but they were so certain they didn’t forget the item they accused the driver of of eating our food. It was very disturbing to be treated this way as a dedicated customer. Since this experience we’ve been venturing out a bit more but in all honesty nothing compares in Riverside. My only recommendation is to personally pick up your order and check it twice. Their customer service (in this particular...
Read moreToday i went to Mantra (Riverside) with my guests from India and It was worst experience for me to dine in. I ordered veggie Manchurian and the Manchurian balls were STIFF. They were super over cooked and barely chewable. I brought it in the notice of one of the staff and asked them if they could fix it. He said that they will re-cook it. He assured that this time the Manchurian ball will be soft. After some time the server brought the dish again. At this time the balls were even harder and extremely spicy to the point I couldn't take one bite without a whole glass of water. I think their chef took revenge from us for complaining about the dish. I reported it again and the server started arguing with us. He was very ill-mannered. He started saying that he won't cooks for us anymore and started shrugging his shoulder. I felt very embarrassed in front of my guests. The water glass were smelly and the plates were dirty. If the owner of the restaurant is reading this comment he can watch the camera as a proof of this incident. On the whole i want to say that it is not a good place to dine in. Don't go to this place and don't take your guests to this...
Read moreI arrive at this restaurant and was waiting to be seated. Instead of asking me how many were in my party, I was looked over and a party of 20 was about to be seated before me. Mind you, I arrived before them. Luckily, someone from that party spoke up and admitted that I can before them. We were seated and it took over 30 minutes to have our order taken. Even though we mentioned that we were ready to order. We felt ignored, all other patients were served before us even though most came after us. We were the only party that was not all Indian. It took over an hour from being seated to get our food. And it didn’t even come at the same time. One plate came, then a few minutes later more came. At one point I had to remind them of what we ordered. Ten minutes later my mothers tea finally was put on the table as the waiter walked by. Without even asking who’s tea it was for. It took a while to even get boxed for our leftovers. I felt like this was one experience I could have lived without. For the prices that you pay to eat here I’d expect better service. Do not waste your money here if you want...
