I wish I could give this courthouse a better rating. Unfortunately the majority of the clerks are very unprofessional. On more than one occasion. I have been hung up on, while trying to get information over the phone. When asked who I am speaking with, the clerks will also hang up the line. When the clerks do not understand a question, the clerks hang up the line. It usually takes around five back to back calls to get what I need done. When going inside, after taking a number and waiting. You finally get to the window, for clerks to completely misinform you. Iāve also tried turning in paperwork, which clerks will hand back and state it needs to be turned in at a later date. Only to get to that date and be asked why the paperwork was not turned in. Certain (about 3) clerks can do their job while majority of the clerks just donāt want to deal with their job or donāt know how to properly do their job and are too lazy to ask how to do it correctly. This is a courthouse, these clerks are holding peopleās lives In their hands. There is very limited professionalism here within the front of house. I am really hoping a positive change comes from within very soon. The only reason why I am giving two stars is because of the amazing male clerk (whose name I can not recall). When I do get the opportunity to be assisted by him. He makes sure to look through all paperwork thoroughly, is very specific with times and dates and makes sure to check with his higher ups, if he is unsure about anything. Making sure the information he is giving out is āCORRECTā. He is very patient with the people who come to his window, and shows a level of professionalism that I have not seen with the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am specifically referring to the Family Law Court Restraining Orders 3rd floor. Today was the 3rd time I attempted to file a restraining order on behalf of my daughter. Form DV-110 Specifically says in the instructions: COMPLETE Items 1, 2, & 3. The court will fill out the rest. This form has been returned with the clerk(s) highlighting everything beyond Item 3. Three times I've been unable to file because the forms instructions (Form DV-110 Revised 1/1/24) and the clerks instructions conflict. Who's running this place? The clerks? Is the tail wagging the dog? Or merely snubbing their nose at it?
If you find yourself in a situation that requires a DVRO, the odds of you already having total paralyzing fear, low self esteem, uncertainty, concern for your children, anxiety, panic attacks, and physical issues , black eye broken nose etc... Now you go to court, to file for protection. You've finally had enough. You've gathered the courage, cause the court is going to protect you. Only to have some arrogant, judge mental clerk hand it back to you because"they" say you're not completing the form correctly. I'm no rocket scientist BUT I can read and comprehend. Who orders the forms? Who decides what must be on them? Who decides what must be completed by whom? According to the form DV-110, I'm being required by a Clerk to do a Clerks job. No problem. Who do I see for compensation?
AND THE A/C IS NOT WORKING ON THE 3RD FLOOR. CAN SOMEONE COMPLETE A MAINTENANCE WORK ORDER? A CLERK CAN PROBABLY ADVISE WHICH...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeautiful building. Will they ever build buildings with craftsmanship in the USA againor has that stop since the 1950's. This court represents a time and people and culture, it's their legacy. Modern buildings follow the brutalism trend of Architecture mal inspired by the soviets. Now everything looks like a school, a prison, or an apartment block. Our descendants will see this, that something drastically changed and at some point the architecture (the symbol of the human spirit) became substantially less beautiful and intricate in design. It's the delineation point from when the republic transformed itself to an organization separate from the people that they are supposed to represent.
I would not be surprised if a movement begins pressing destruction of old beautiful buildings so that our progeny will lose their culture and inspiration ,and become more subservient to the ruling class of government employees.
I hope you enjoy...
