Roanoke Pharmacy and Gift Shop — Attraction in Roanoke

They are good here. The one thing that keeps me from giving them a 5 is that they will hold off allowing us a prescription and blame it on some time limit thing. This is the ONLY pharmacy who makes this distinction. Otherwise we never have issues. And I doubt that somehow Costco, CVS and the many others are breaking the law, to the contrary I would expect them to be more letter of the law possibly in some cases. Anyway it has caused us huge headaches in picking up prescriptions for our grandmother and we wish it weren't so.

However, we do enjoy the atmosphere of Christian values, great selection of toys for the kids, lots of neat gifts, cool things for decorating around the house, and lots of Christian gifts. The designer or merchandiser at this store fortunately or unfortunately for me (because I feel like buying so many things, maybe too many things lol,) does a great job of selecting things that are cute and irresistible to me.

The toys are fun the kids to play with while waiting for prescriptions and also fun toys that the kids are interested in us buying and taking home. We find them asking to go to the pharmacy because they know that they are going to be in for a toy treat if they're behaving. So overall they get a 4 although it's close to a 5 even with the annoying issue of making us wait. If they were to review their policies then we'd sincerely be happy to upgrade our rating to a...

This review is only on the pharmacy portion of the business. As a novelty shop it is nice with lots of attractive items.

This company was listed on GoodRX and I had my prescription sent to them. I called them the day the prescription came in and they informed me the item was not in stock. They were very professional and prompt. I had no issue at that time. I told them I was reaching out because of GoodRX.

Today, I made a point of going out of my way to go by there in terrible weather to be told that they do not work with GoodRX. The lady at the register didn't attempt to see if it worked or not just telling me that she has tried it on her own medications and they came back higher so they don't work.

I have always had great luck with GoodRX, especially when using a pharmacy listed on their website with pricing. I had no other reason to know this pharmacy existed. I understand there could be a breakdown but the refusal and matter of fact way this was dealt with was unprofessional. It would have even made more sense if she attempted it and showed that it did not work properly. The answer instead was to blame...

This is the best run pharmacy I have ever done been to....I have been going her for several years now and I can say that I have never had to wait longer then 10 minutes to have them fill a prescription. Even when there really busy they always are done in 10 minutes. It's really amazing. Every other pharmacy should be ran like this place......they also are very helpfull. When my son's Dr prescribed an expensive asthma medicine Thay we could not afford. They were upfront about the cost and suggestive alternatives to tell the Dr that were not as expansive. I hope they stay in business for many years. I will drive 100 miles to go here rather then have to deal with CVS, Walgreen or walmart. With all the hassles of insurance and prescription in today's world is a blessing to have an honest place to help you...
