I just left a Rochelle Park ascend dispensary. I went online and I ordered 2 eighths , and I was offered another one for a penny. It said when you arrive to the store have the cashier scan your QR code. The cashier was very nice. She was a thin white blond lady (a little older). I already forgot her name because I’m disappointed. The manager, a black lady with braids a (little older aswell) came out and said she was arguing all day with people regarding this and she said that I did not read the fine print (which was nowhere near where I purchased the product) then she said the promotions is for flower not popcorn. I told her I do not know the difference between the two, and they are all the same to me. She said No and immediately asked me if I wanted to cancel my order. I found that extremely rude and disrespectful basically saying we don’t need your business. Do you want me to cancel your order so you can go? her body language and tone screamed that. I was offended by the remark because I was just asking that they honor what I ordered online. This false promotion and false advertising needs to stop. I could’ve paid the extra $10 but because of the principal I didn’t. I still ended up buying one thing because I drove all the way there but I am definitely disappointed by the way that was handled and if you guys are going to advertise something, honor it - I promise you won’t go broke. Also have a conversation with your manager so she can approach situations with a more positive demeanor, and a more welcoming...
Read moreI've been to Ascend many times before and had a great experience. I recently went to Ascend 1 week ago, and the girl checking IDs was extremely hostile to me. My ID was expired, but I brought my passport as well. I approached her, and her energy was off. I mentioned that I have my passport, and she said that she could not let me enter. There is no law that states you can't enter a dispensary with a passport as it is a valid form of identification. I then calmly explained that my ID had expired ( I had an appointment for renewal the following week). She became very aggressive and said anybody could walk in with a passport, and they only accepted state IDs. I asked to speak to the manager, and she then said she would call the cop inside. My response was that I'm not sure why you would call a cop when I simply asked to speak to a manager. She said responsed even more aggressively. At this point, I'm a 40 year old woman trying to buy her friend a topical cream bc she was in an accident and I said I was leaving and will just go to the city to get what I need. I did not appreciate the hostile energy when I was calm and noncombative. I will just continue to get what I need from the city bc this experience was extremely unpleasant.
Edit: Ascend/Nicole reached out to me, and I really appreciate the quick response and I will definitely...
Read moreI’ve been going to this location since it opened. I went in last night wanting to use some of the puff points that I have. I keep receiving emails that I have 442 points. 500 points is $20 and I was going to buy something that the points would cover. They informed me I have zero points. One of the managers came over and showed me on her laptop that I lost 30 points from February to March and that’s why I have no points left? Which makes no sense. I would have 412 then. She kept trying to explain that I’ve been losing points every month. But the fact is that I got the email in feb. Saying I have 442 points, so either the email was deceiving or the mangers didn’t know what they were talking about. She also implied that I haven’t spent a lot of money there, and I’ve only spent 700 dollars. Which is so condescending and rude, not everyone has thousands to spend on something thats not a necessity. I’ve been there before when customers were complaining about the points so I know it’s not just me. This is the closest dispensary to me so it’s convenient, but I guess I’ll go find some else to spend “only”...
