I am a disabled retired veteran and just moved to Rock Hill with my wife for her work. My wife had an eye appointment, and while I waited, actually went to purchase an energy drink, I was stereotyped and harassed by mall security for wearing a hoodie on a cold and rainy day inside the building. He had no questions no remorse no respect, only "take off that hoodie", I told him I was disabled and he says loudly and boldly "I don't care", so I walked away and he presceded to call the police. I was not raised by my father and am 35 yrs old. I should not have to take off my hoodie when there is no moral ethical or legal distress. He lost respect for me and I had nothing to say to him. I spoke with the mall director and she did not show me any regulations and she refused to show me, while her and the officers said "they don't have to show anything", then I'm not taking off my hoodie. My wife and I was escorted out the mall, where earlier I was just making positive and exciting gestures upon visiting the mall, and even earlier made purchases well over $100, to my complete and utter disappointment, it all made a huge embarrassment to me and my family. Also psychological and emotional destress from the police and security officers brought about discord and extreme depression as I am a wounded veteran scarred with major depression disorder and PTSD. I am currently seeking a lawsuit with this mall and the security company. If you are looking to enjoy a mall, and spend money for clothes and fashion then you should have that right, you work hard for your money and you desire to be fasionable and comfortable at any mall, you deserve and earn that right. I would NOT I say again NOT bring my family here if I were you!, this mall will not be in business much longer the rate it is going now, it hides well under lining dictatorship and is very discrimitive. Read moreI was just in the store a few moments ago. The items I was purchasing came to a little more than $120. I asked the sales clerk if she can pack it in two different bags. Her response to me was we don't give away free bags. I responded saying I am purchasing these items for two different people and with there being several candles in the bag it will be kind of heavy to have them all in one bag could you please just put it in two. She said I'm sorry it's against policy I can't do that. I asked would it make a difference if I held up the really long line and just did two different transactions would I then be able to get a second bag. She smiled at me and said yes then I can give you two bags. I actually considered it but then I looked at the line and all the people standing in line and I thought I would be really irritated if I was behind me watching me bring up two different transactions just to get two bags. So I told the young lady since the convenience of two bags is against policy you can go ahead and cancel my transaction I no longer want the product thank you and have a great day. And the sales clerk gave me a great big smile and told me to have a great day too. Long story short I will never spend a dollar in a Bath & Body...
Read moreThe mall had this carnival outside. I was enjoying my today and wanted to ride some rides with my friends. That was before I was stopped by a man working a toy booth where you throw a ball and earn a prize. No I do understand that these games are overpriced and that’s not why I’m mad. He offered us free shots so we took them. He said we won and for $5 we can get the toys. We paid $5 and then he offered an upgrade. Not offered but forced it. He took the toys out of our hands and demanded we throw again for “free”. I told him if you want me to throw it I’ll throw but I’m not paying anything for extra toys. He said yeah it’s free so I threw the balls. He did give us the toys back before we threw. We won again and he offered $10 more a slightly bigger toy. I declined nicely and he began to become angry saying I owe him $10. He then took the toys we won previously again. After talking for 5 minutes another family came and he gave us the toys to not cause a scene. I was very angry with the way he was trying to make me pay for something he said was free to do. The way he tries to curve the truth and scam you is ridiculous. You will be scammed and treated badly if you don’t want to play their games. AVOID...
