I wanna start out by saying, this was one of the worst experiences ive ever had at a restaurant dining in. My family and i came here to celebrate my mothers Birthday! (Witch was her first birthday without her mom, who always enjoyed a good steak⦠she passed less than a month ago)
My mom, brother, sister & their S/O waited an hour and a half to be seated, i was running a bit late from work but arrived about 20mins after they were seated.
Once my husband, my son and i arrived and got seated. I know we sat at the table for at least 30 minutes before our server finally came back to the table.. he then got our drink orders and a few appetizer orders and left.. I ordered a mixed drink⦠we been waiting again about another 30 minutes before we finally received our drinksā¦. My husband ordered a sweet tea, and never once throughout the hour we were there did he didnāt refill or was even offered to refill⦠I get that itās around the holidays in places get really busy but when your dining in and you see a lot of the servers just standing around it becomes very agitatingā¦
Also, would like to add that I ordered a half a rack of ribs, and when my food finally came, it was ice cold. I paid $40 for ONE meal and a drink and my food was ice cold!!!
This was the first time Iāve ever ate at Texas roadhouse and will be the last time I ever eat at Texas roadhouse would also like to add that when it came down for me to pay my bill, I was forced to leave a tip because it did not, let me opt out!!! If my server wouldāve did at least a decent job, he wouldāve got a wonderful tip but being the fact that he didnāt do a good job,I tipped him one dollar because I was made to! My mom is a server in any time I go out to eat. I always make sure to tip my waitress or waiter. Very good.!!! Extremely good!!! But the service I received tonight was just terrible!!!
I also would like to add that Texas roadhouse should really think about adding napkins to their tables, especially considering they sell ribs that you eat with your hands!! I should not have to sit and wait on my server to ask for napkins! And then, when I do finally get napkins, I get like two or three little itty-bitty squares!
I work really hard for my money REALLY HARD , day in and day out, time away from my child to make money and it makes me so angry when it gets wasted!! Iām looking at the reviews here on Google and Iām trying to figure out how they have a 4.5 rating???? And I look at it this way if theyāre short staffed then they need to put a cap on taking in & seating customers if their staff canāt handle it!
Edit: also, please take into consideration that we were a party of eight our bill was over $100, so Texas roadhouse made a decent amount off of us just for us to have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStarted a little rough. Called ahead (7:20pm) and told 40-50 minute wait. Checked in via text 7:40pm. Received text our table was ready 8:40. Sat and ordered drinks. Our server Rebecca was very nice and obviously in the weeds as most of the wait staff appeared to be. 4 empty tables on our area which were never used even with w large number of people waiting outside. Got our drinks(no rolls) and ordered our apps and meals. Apps were fried onion and rib app. Wife ordered the chicken. Son for ribeye and ribs. I ordered the window ribeye from the front counter with salad and fries. Food runner came with onion and told us the ribs would be soon. (Still no rolls) Waved down a lady I thought was our waitress (was not her, didnāt realize many of the servers wearing bunny ears for Easter) but she was nice enough to bring us rolls even though we werenāt her table. 25-30 minutes later meals arrived with a different food runner. Chicken was decent side of butter corn (ok) and mashed potatoes (meh/mid). Sons ribeye looked to be cooked right, flavor was āgoodā Ribs were tender and good flavor, side of corn was ok and side of fries were inedible do to over salting. My side were Caesar Salad with so much dressing when it showed up I thought it was a bowl of dressing on the side. Didnāt even realize it had croutons until one of my bites crunched due to everything in the bowl being a uniform white. My fries were also so salty as to be inedible. My steak was perfect. Cooked right. Seasoned right. Juicy. I get itās a steak place so the steak should be on point(and was) but the sides were horrible. After the meals were done Rebecca was able to make another stop with drinks. We finished the meal and got the check. I just figured the ribs might have never been ordered but they were on the bill. Pointed it out to Rebecca who said she would get It removed and a manager would come by to apologize. She brought back the corrected check and although I saw the manager in the red shirt a few times. We gave up waiting after about10-12 minutes and left. He must have been too busy holding up the front counter and the service counter from the way he was leaning on them??? Oh well. Good effort if fell short on service. Sides Horrible. Steaks decent. Manager expectations fail! Could have been way better but could have been way worse. Music was on 11 for half the meal thank god someone turned it down half way...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMyself and my family went there on yesterday 12/16/24 I went to the window to put our name on the wait list, party of 7. I told the younglady how many in our party, and that we needed a table, she stated back that they couldn't accommodate a party of 7 only a party of six. I said can we do half booth and half table, she stated again that they could only accommodate 6, so I stated can you put a chair at the end of it, because they have before, so then she was talking to another worker from up at the desk, and she came over there and stated that they can't accommodate 7 guest, now we were just there and had 8 guests and they accommodated us with no problem, so I'm confused, so I asked when did it change, she said that it's a fire hazard to put a chair at the end of the table. Now I just said 6, we get seated here come the manager to tell us we can't have 7 ppl so we needed to get back in line, now mind you, the 2 girls lied to on me and said they told me we could do the half both and half table, no they didn't, they both said they couldn't accommodate 7 guess period. I hate to be lied on or lied to, then they humiliated us by telling us, we needed to get back in line, after we had been waiting for over an hour plus. My oldest son and my daughter got up, and go back up to the desk, they go tell them they're going to put a chair at the end of the table, Byeeee that time, we got up and just left.. I just have some advice for them. When a person tell them they have a party of 7, tell them, that you can accommodate them with the HALF BOOTH HALF TABLE, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT SAY YOU CAN'T ACCOMMODATE THEM PERIOD. We are a well respected family and being lied on and lied too, is very unsatisfactory, so please teach your worker how to respond and respect your paying guess. When we were driving out the parking lot, I had my window down and the girl at the window was talking about us to the 2 ladies standing at the window, that had nothing to do with the situation. Very unprofessional, it was their fault they kept saying they couldn't accommodate 7 ppl instead of how they could accommodate 7 ppl. So for that I give them a zero star.
