The White Home — Attraction in Rock Hill

The White home was our venue for our April 2021 rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. Full disclosure, this property is special to our family, as they have worked (and continue to work) with Historic Rock Hill to preserve and restore the property. The property is gorgeous, with beautifully maintained grounds and landscaping. The house itself is a beauty, with full-width front porches and plenty of southern charm. The inside has been restored an acts as a museum for both the property and Historic Rock Hill. The house has 3 bathrooms on the ground floor for guests, and dedicated suites for the bridal party and groomsmen to get ready on-site. It has on-site parking for the event, with overflow across the street if needed. It is also within walking distance of downtown Rock Hill, so you and your guests can enjoy Rock Hill without needing a car. We worked with Hospitality Butler events to plan and organize everything. (15/10 We definitely recommend!) We held our rehearsal dinner outside on the back lawn with lights strung through the trees and food served buffet style. We'd originally planned on having our ceremony the next day outside on the brick patio and our reception on the back lawn, but the Spring weather had other ideas. We still had the ceremony outside on the brick patio, but under a tent, with additional lighting, which added to intimate feel. It was absolutely perfect. Oh my goodness! The White Home is one of the most beautiful venues I have ever attended for a wedding and, as the venue for my daughter's wedding, was a dream-come-true! The house and its grounds are spacious and beautiful! There are so many plantings on the grounds to ensure blooms most all times of the year. We were fortunate to have both azaleas and camelias in bloom, which made the wedding extra beautiful! We used most every part of the grounds for the event, having the wedding outdoors on the lawn, cocktail hour inside the foyer and on the front porch, having the reception under a large white tent on another part of the lawn with chandeliers, and using the brick patio with cafe lighting as the dance floor. It was an absolutely magical event! And Rock Hill has such beautiful Southern charm that I was proud to have all our out-of-town guest weekend there. We got married at The White Home in Rock Hill, and I honestly don’t even know how to put into words how incredible the experience was. Every single part of the day was beautiful, smooth, and full of joy—and that’s 100% thanks to the amazing venue and Matt Stranes, our wedding planner.

Matt was truly phenomenal. He thought of things before we even had a chance to ask and made the entire planning process feel calm, fun, and organized. On the day of the wedding, we didn’t have to worry about a thing—he handled it all with grace and care, and it honestly felt like he was everywhere at once making sure everything was perfect.
