The only reason I have given Comporium one star is because I can't rate them any lower. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received. My issue is with their internet service, we had problem from the start. Two calls to the tech people resulted in them asking me to hook up to the internet to diagnose the problem for them vs. sending out a tech. "we don't want to waste the time sending out a truck if we don't need to" is what I was told. When I decided to cancel the service since I don't have the time to fix my own internet, I was hit with a $420 cancelation fee. I have tried to get this fee waived but was told I was the one that broke the contract. $160/month for cable and internet I guess it is only supposed to work part of the time. I was told ultimately that I needed to speak to someone at the Rock Hill office where I returned my equipment if I was going to get this fee waived. I tried but I don't think anyone who can make a decision works there. The first time I was told there was no supervisor in, this recent time I was told I would get a call back in 30 minutes...that was 5 days ago. Bottom line is the service is garbage and when you try to get what you are paying for you have to jump through hoops. We switched to Uverse, cable and internet are great. AND that was just their very basic 100mbps service with their legacy WiFi router which only support 2.4ghz band width.!!! Im such a fool for the past 2 years, I was told they are the only internet provider in my neighborhood, DO NOT SETTLE with Comporium! 2)They claim they have stop prorate refund back to their customer for terminating service with them which means if you want to end their service but if you already entering into a new billing cycle, regardless you are 1 day or 15 days into their service, they WILL NOT refund a penny to you. YEAH, I called them today, their CSR says itās their company policy, so I escalated to her manager and got the same answer. The managerās name is Kasey or Casey, she is nice but I donāt think she really cares after all. 3) donāt forget to return their valuable assets aka legacy 2.4ghz WiFi router back to them in 5 business day or your will be charged. By 1pm I still had not seen anyone. I called to check on it to make sure everything was okay and still in process. I am then told that mine was rescheduled WITHOUT being notified or asked if this was okay and would work for me. I was upset but told them okay and asked how soon it was being rescheduled. It was going to be 11 days later. So I wait out the 11 days. Called the 12th day and am now being told that more construction needs to be done before it can be installed but that they were told it was already done and it is not. So now I am being told I have to wait until Jan 7 for it to be installed. Almost a full month waiting on internet to be installed that I have already paid for and have not been able to use. I am told to ask for a cable modem until the internet can be installed. They ask me what is a cable modem and then later tell me it would take longer to install that rather than waiting on the internet. This is beyond ridiculous at this point.
