This establishment has great potential if only they could hire better staff. I’m not from this area, just wanted to have some quality pizza and relax before an event. It was raining and we walked inside to an open area with a live band setting up and a good little crowd, with an inviting atmosphere. We didn’t know whether to seat ourselves or order with the girl sitting by herself near a register, when we asked she said we could order food from her and drinks at the bar. She did not offer us any menus, just looked back to her phone, so I just grabbed some little wet take home menus on the counter. I asked if they could make a special pizza, and she said yeah so we ordered one 12” and one 14”. $40 isn’t a bad price, and then the girl left to “go to the other side.” While we were waiting for her to come back and tell us what to do while we waited, the bartender asks us what we will be drinking and we say that we have already ordered food and will not be drinking alcohol tonight, but thank you. He tells us that only paying customers of the bar are allowed to be on “this side” and if we are just getting food then we need to go tot he other side? We apologize and say we are not from here, we only want to get some food and ask what he means by other side? I guess around the outside is another part of the restaurant (like sorry for not knowing) but he informed us that we could not stand there to even wait for the girl who ordered our food to come back. Talk about rude. So we wait outside in the rain until we see the girl come back, and she was going to walk past us until we stopped and asked how long the wait would be. 20 mins, not bad. But the other side had all wet and dirty tables, and it was only light raining by now, we just walked back to her car and then came back around the time the food would be ready.
The food was good, very greasy and salty, but good. We received two 12” when one was supposed to be bigger, but it’s no big deal I suppose. What upsets me is having to be in the rain because we couldn’t wait inside for our food to ready, like had that bartender given us a chance we wouldn’t have minded just ordering non-alcoholic beverages (since we are sober) to stay and wait, but the whole vibe had upset us. We ended up eating at the park down the street and it was a way better dinner date. ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT...
Read moreI recently visited with a few coworkers . I want to first off start by saying that I enjoy Millestone Pizza. This has been a place that many of my coworkers and I go to for the ambiance, and of course the food. Every encounter I have had at this location has been pleasant until today, Tuesday July 16. I was with two African American coworkers and one White coworker. Heather, happened to be our server. She appeared to be a kind lady at first but it took a turn for the worst. We ordered from the lunch special and it took 30 mins for us to receive our salad. It took another 15 minutes for the entrees to come out. We only ordered small pizzas and one chicken parm. I too have worked in the service industry and know that sometimes there are unexpected occurrences that may cause food orders to be delayed. I am a very understanding person as long as I am notified. Once my food came out more than half the pizza was covered in charcoal. I immediately gave it back to the cook, as I knew my server Heather was going to take too long and I only have a 1 hour break. I was then told by the cook and Heather that If I get the pizza remade, it will still be burnt. Wow. Words of encouragement. They refused to remake the pizza and asked me to order another item off the menu. I ordered the Italian sandwich. However, if this is what I wanted, I could have went to substation. When the bill came, I let the waiter know on the bill how distasteful her service was and I understand we all have bad days. WE'RE HUMAN. She then proceeds to blame the cook and walks away. Besides the rude service from Heather and the cook. Not once did Heather look me or my colleagues in the eye. As stated before I understand we all have bad days but I am using my hard earned money to not only pay for my food but leave you "a tip". Due to the complaints from both staff, I will no longer be returning here. Oh , I forgot to mention! When Heather saw my note , she refused to cash me and the rest of my colleagues out. When I spoke with the "cook manager" he stated that she is struggling through some personal things. This is not what I expected from "a manager". I hope that no one else is discriminated at your establishment, based off of race, religion, or sexual...
Read moreThe food was terrific, but the service was uncomfortable awkward.
When we first walked in (7pm on a Friday), we had no clue whether it was a hostess seating or a seat yourself type place. The place was busy but not packed. No one acknowledged us, and there were no signs, so we walked through the dining area toward an open booth and finally got a server's attention, who said we could sit there.
A bottle of lukewarm water was supplied. Other customers had glasses of ice water. When we asked for some ice water, the server brought us one cup of ice. For 4 people! I understand the restaurant is probably trying to push alcohol sales, and we even tried to order beer, but were told they were out of the kind we requested. Honestly it seemed like they were just saying that to get rid of us, like somehow we weren't cool enough to drink their beer or something. The server acted like he didn't know how to put pizza on the table and waited awkwardly for me to slide plates out of the way (with one hand, while I was feeding the baby) so he could set the pie down.
Maybe it's because they don't want families in there?? Honestly my husband and I both are still scratching our heads. We have two kids who behaved perfectly and a baby who didn't make a peep the whole time. We were pleasant and not difficult customers but just felt a weird vibe from the server the whole time. Such a shame, too- my picky kids loved the food, and my husband tipped generously, but I doubt...
