The food is prison slop, and—as I’m coming to the back to ask for to-go boxes because the bartender is preoccupied—the “cook” responds, “Everything goes through the bartender. Don’t bother me.”
Never coming back to this establishment, and I advise y’all to take heed. Since the owner would like for me to be more thorough in my review, I definitely will. We ordered mozzarella sticks, which were clearly microwaved or half-cooked because they were still frozen in the middle.
The cheese dip we ordered was obviously from a Velveeta jar or just melted Velveeta. The macaroni and cheese was… interesting, to say the least. It’s very clear that one would have to be inebriated to enjoy it; which makes sense for a bar, but I really wanted to have the same experience that I read in the rest of the reviews.
We did not enjoy the atmosphere, probably because it was karaoke night and really loud (bad timing), but because we actually wanted to see what the food we ordered tasted like beyond the appetizers, we sat through and continued eating without complaint. We decided then that once we got our food, though, we were going to leave because we were not enjoying the atmosphere.
I did go back to the cooking station because I saw that that’s where the to go plates were. I did not want to grab them without permission and as I said, the bartender was preoccupied. Unlike the characterization in the reply, I was not asked to go through the normal process. As I said, the person behind the cooking station told me, “Everything goes through the bartender. Don’t bother me.”
Had I been asked respectfully to wait for the bartender, I definitely would have. But that was not the case. I was not a drunk patron looking to score free food. I was simply asking for a to-go box so that we could leave but I hadn’t even opened my mouth yet before I was berated. So no, I will not retract what I said. What I shared was my full and honest experience, and I will not amend that because you, as the owner, did not agree with it.
As the owner, I respectfully suggest that you take this feedback and grow from it rather than trying to argue with a customer who clearly had a poor experience. I will say that the bartender herself was doing an amazing job and doing her best to keep up with everything. I think that in terms of customer service, this young lady was quite excellent and I don’t want this review to seem like a poor reflection on her, but if the owner is the one cooking and the one responding like this, you won’t be in business long if you continue to berate customers.

It is also not an accurate representation of the events to say I tried to get out of paying the bill. That is literally the exact opposite of what happened. I offered to pay for the food; I just said I didn’t want to take it. It could be given to anyone. The bartender graciously took the food off my check, which I paid in full. There is the full and honest accounting of my experience as requested very forcefully by the...
Read moreWe recently moved to Rock Hill a few months ago from South End Charlotte and wanted to find a bar that would meet all of our needs and Tattooed Brews definitely does! The service is amazing, all the bartenders seem to really enjoy working there. I love that the owner is almost always there working the bar, serving food and making great conversation with everyone! It’s such a welcoming bar with great atmosphere. The people that come in are very nice and friendly to everyone. The service is very quick even with a packed bar. They have multiple seating options, inside and out. Great music with a jukebox so you can play whatever you want! They have lots of drink options and the food is my absolute favorite! They have a kitchen in the back open till 11 making it perfect for night owls like myself to get a late dinner. We’ve gotten food a few times and everything we’ve ordered has always been 10/10. Last night we got mozzarella sticks 10/10. The chicken quesadilla 10000/10 sooooo good! The potato salad is the best I’ve ever had in my whole entire life and I eat a lot of potato salad. We also got the buffalo chicken dip and WOW that was amazing. They give you plenty of food for a very good price and it’s not just usual bar food, it’s the best food with lots to choose from. It’s such a fun bar in the center of downtown Rock Hill so you’ll have plenty of things to do before and after going to Tattooed Brews. During the day the bar is nice and quiet making it a perfect stop for lunch with a friend or just a midday drink. The nightlife reminds me of being back in the city so I absolutely love that. All in all this bar is going on my top favorites list for sure! You have to stop in for a drink and food next time you’re in the town. There is plenty of parking on the road and a parking lot right next to Wells Fargo making it very accessible to anyone! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a fun, welcoming atmosphere with good service, food...
Read moreStopped here with my wife and sister in law for dinner. Been here once before and after seeing the menu decided wanted to come back again to try the other items. Wasn’t disappointed they have 3 different versions of Nachos. We got the chili cheese nachos as an app..Delicious, some of the best I’ve had. Got the Tony Montana, a Flatbread and a BLT.. We all thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered. We will definitely be coming back..the only thing that confused me was we were there at 7-9 on a Saturday and we were the only table with a few ppl at the bar. Just a shame as this place has great food, service and music playing, place should be packed! I know We’ll be going back..Try this place..you...
