All I needed was for my power supply to be replaced with a new one. I had already purchased the new power supply. I only needed the labor of replacing my old power supply in my PC. This company told me it could take up to 24 hours!? I told them that that was incredibly unreasonable. The price on the service was incredibly unreasonable as well. The service is beyond expensive. I recommend anyone and everyone to avoid Geek Squad & look into local repair services. They won't take your PC from you for over an entire day for a 30min power supply replacement.
If I schedule an appointment with Geek Squad that time I reserved for my appointment should be the only time I spend waiting for my products or services. No one should have to schedule an appointment just to end up leaving your property behind and having to return the next day. Replacing a power supply requires the unscrewing of some screws and plugging in some wires. Keeping me waiting over 24 hours is unreasonable idc how busy you are. You handle an inquiry like that the moment it comes in and you don't keep customers waiting. Imagine how long it could take if you needed an extensive technical service from them?! Over a week?! Read moreGeek squad can't even manage a simple hard drive upgrade on a 4000 dollar workstation laptop. I asked them to install two m2 hard drives to replace my current m2 drives with larger capacity. I asked them to please verify that the gen5 pci card is in the gen 5 pcie slot on the board. I was returned a laptop with the cards in the incorrect slot. A drive that supposed to read write at 5x 14000 reading at 4x 3000. What a joke. The tried to refuse to fix this until the store manager Joey got involved and fixed the situation. What a disgrace. Don't trust these guys!!! Beware! Dishonest and no integrity.
Edit: I just now discovered that they also over wrote my pre-cloned SSD hard drives that were partitioned exactly how I wanted them with their generic cloned settings from my old hard drives even though I specifically told them that I didnt need a hard drive clone and that they were ready to install. Add that to the list of instructions they did not follow. Absolutely insane. AVOID...
Read moreInsignia tvs are COMPLETE TRASH . Lasted less than a year and went black. Best buy does absolutely nothing to fix it even though it's "their brand". Sends geek squad out a month later, they tell you they'll order a part and if it doesn't fix it they will get you a new TV. Then they schedule another appointment for another month out because they say they are no longer gonna replace it until they try ordering more parts. Everytime you call the store it sends you to the corporate number and they say there is nothing that they can do but schedule you another appointment. Have went without a TV for two months now and pay for the extended geek squad and they have no urgency to fix anything. Pay for the product, pay for the extra protection, nothing ....
