Rockport Beach Park Pavilions — Attraction in Rockport

Nice beach. Great for small children because the water is so shallow. We were warned that there are jellyfish everywhere so we all had swim shoes on. I love the breeze and the heat is bearable. There is a playground and sprayer near where we squatted. But a warning to those who are not regular beach goers, bring sand bags if you plan to bring a tent. Other than that, it was plenty of space and distancing between huts. I wouldn't mind...

The beach is great for your kids. Definitely a family friendly place. I don't like that there's trash on the ground and yet, they've gone up in their entry fee (presumably for the maintenance). Also, in the men's bathroom in the pavilion, there was only 1 shower working. Every one of the other showers were inoperable. Again, why the increase in fees if you're not going to...

Four stars for having to pay to access the beach, but overall a great location to explore on vacation. The onsite public bathrooms are kept fairly clean for a beach location and the showers are awesome to be able to rinse after the beach. Beware the jellyfish during the hot months, they sting and drift right up...
