Had a really terrible experience at this location this morning (12/26/24).
My check engine light came on last night and my car was taking extra cranks to turn over, so I suspected a battery issue. I have to drive 6 hours to see family tomorrow so I needed to figure it out quickly. Saw that AutoZone advertised free battery testing, so I brought my car over. Window sticker at this location specifically advertised free battery testing.
When I went inside, there was one person in front of me in line trying to determine the right fluid for his vehicle. The shift lead/supervisor was aggressively asking him questions to move through the computer checklist and getting frustrated with him if he didn't know the answer instantly or asked for clarification. No attempt to be helpful, just impatience.
When it was my turn, I asked if I could get my battery tested. Despite there being two other staff members in the store, she told me that they couldn't do it because she was the only supervisor on duty and couldn't leave the store. I don't know if that's actually a policy, but it seems odd that two supervisors would be required on shift to be able to offer services that are prominently advertised. A cynic might think she just didn't want to go out in the cold or deal with doing the test.
She made no attempt to be helpful to me at all. No solutions offered (e.g. go to another AutoZone, come back at this time when we have better staffing, etc.). Just unpleasant attitude and indifference.
I ended up taking it to a repair shop because I was running out of time before the trip. Cost me an extra $100 between the battery test, labor, and Ubers to/from the shop, and cost the store a sale of a battery. Really, really poor customer service. Don't think I'll be visiting again even though I only live a few...

I have an O’Reilly first call account even though this store is right across the street from me. Todays experience reminds me why I cannot do business with AutoZone
I needed a fuel pressure test kit. I had the part number card cash whatever it took in hand to get my part.
The one counter cashier was helping someone else that other person needed to go to the toilet
He decides he’s gotta wait for this guy to take a dump
Then he rang out another customer wiper purchases ahead of mine because he didn’t wanna go find my part
The whole time the manager is there on a conference call and there’s two other employees wearing pajama pants All ignoring me .
Then the guy that took a dump for 15 minutes, comes out and wants to pay cash and he says he hast to wait for the manager to get off his conference call To ring out a cash sale. I asked if he could kindly at least pull my part instead of standing around. He said oh you’re in a rush? I said respectfully, you’re standing around doing nothing waiting for the manager to get off his conference call with the pajama pants people.
He gave me an attitude so I told him I would just go somewhere else and never come back.
I get it. The store manager is more concerned with Commercial Account sales. I would’ve been a commercial customer if not My...
Read moreWon't allow customers to use the bathroom. Never been an issue with any other advanced in the state. I'll be taking my commercial business to O'Reilly's down the street where they actually allow you to relieve yourself when shopping.
I've reached out to the District Manager.
Kidany, I fully expect to hear back from you. This is not a problem in any other district but yours.
Go ahead and look up my purchase history because I have quite literally maxed out your system's ability to hold warranty information. I've spent so much money with your company it's not even funny and I'm not even the amount of my customers I have sent to you to buy parts to simplify future returns (again, maxed out my personal warranty history).
This is not how you treat customers who have given your company over $20,000 in the...
