Patel Brothers is one of the best places in Chicago for authentic Indian groceries. The variety they offer is unmatched—from fresh produce and spices to frozen meals, snacks, and even household essentials. The quality of ingredients is generally top-notch, and they carry all the brands I grew up with. It’s the perfect place to stock up on everything you need for traditional cooking. The only downside is that it can get very crowded, especially on weekends, and parking can be a bit of a hassle. But honestly, it’s worth the effort for the selection and prices you get. One of the best parts? They offer fresh rotis, delicious sweets, and a great selection of snacks that instantly take you back home. Overall, Patel Brothers is a gem for anyone looking to bring authentic Indian flavors into their kitchen. Highly recommended!

This store still has no parking. They are not good at customer service. They are also not good at maintaining goods quality. They sometimes sale expired products.I found one product expired but they didn't allow me to return this product. They are also not even apologized. 4/28/2022 They have changed many things. The new staff and store policies are much better. Now they are carrying more products.I belief now they're much more professional than earlier. They don't have parking but customer can use the street paid parking.

My name is Fernando Soto, and I have visited this grocery store because my colleague and friend is Malaysian and has Indian ethnicity background... I went 8n there with her and she was having the time of her life looking into all the spices, I just continue looking at the products and brands since I am not familiar with them... but I was looking for the samosas dough which I have used before... The problem lies in the fact that I was racial profiles by the employees and manager... they followed me in each aisle, the placed someone no more than 6 feet away from me in every move I was making... when I noticed that which was very uncomfortable I returned to my friend side and try to accelerate the process to finish the purchased. Just because I was there with her, I would have left the place, but we ended up spending more than 100 dollars... but the aggravation didn't finish there... the bagger was not staring at me he was literally policing me with his eyes... We have parked right in front of the grocery store and even though we were done and walking out they were insensitive with their monitoring process... I am still thinking to follow a racial profile complaint because it was obvious, I was the only non indian person in the place... I cannot say black because some employees were even darker than me... I do hope this won't happen again... THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE... AND THEY...

Great store for ANYTHING Indian! Food, spices, etc. If Patel Brothers doesn't carry it, you probably don't need it. So far I've only visited once a couple weeks ago and it was packed with shoppers. Shoppers with carts. And every shopper was patient. It was sort of a social experiment really. Watching all of us moooo-ve our carts through while shopping at the same time. There didn't seem to be a rhyme to the flow as traffic was both directions where it seemed it shouldn't have been but I like it and I love the things I purchased. If you're only shopping for a few items use a hand carried basket. I really enjoyed the whole experience and I also think the prices are lower than the average grocery store. The produce was fresh, the basmati rice selection was from another planet, the hot food bar where I picked up 2 samosa to eat later were delicious. I wish I lived within a mile of one. I'd walk there a few times a week for the fresh, ready to eat hot/cold food bar. The entire staff was really nice. You know they work their butts off and they're still at the very least cordial. I see them moving efficiently with boxes of stock through the moving snake of carts restocking the shelves. Patel Brothers runs a tight ship. It's efficient and I'll be back in a couple of weeks. I went on a weekend. Try a weekday if you don't have patience. It's probably...
