Mughal Bakery — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

I had an absolutely lovely experience here! This is a great bakery just off of Devon st. I would've normally walked past it but today the smell of fresh baked cookies welcomed me in. I was greeted by a friendly face and respite from the crisp cold air of Chicago winter. While browsing their products, the owner came out with warm freshly baked almond cookies for me to try. Normally I like my cookies with tea, but these were just perfect on their own: moist, warm, sweet, and crunchy! Before I even had the chance to finish mine, he came out with more cookies for me to try. I left with 3 boxes of cookies, one of them he packed for me from the fresh batched just pulled out of the oven.

I highly recommend this bakery to anyone nearby! It's been here for 30 years for a reason, and hopefully it will be here...

This is an amazing hidden gem. We ran into it by accident and thought we'd walk in to check it out. They have a very good variety of sugar-free cookies as well. We bought a few boxes and were about to leave when the kids were looking at a box of almond cookies. The gentleman at the counter (I believe is the owner) gave it to them for free and told them it was a gift. Everything was absolutely delicious. Will definitely visit again...

Found this on our visit to the food street we just pass by and picked up coconut biscuits. The owner was very humble and offered his famous usmania biscuits to us right from oven. They were so crispy and to die for. He was kind enough to offer us his famous butter bread too. Would highly recommend someone visiting Chicago to pass by and try these amazing cookies.
