Unprofessional & Heartless Service
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Regal Jewels on Devon Avenue is an absolute disgrace. From the moment my family and I stepped inside to drop off jewelry for cleaning and repair, the experience was a nightmare. The owner was screaming at a customer in a full-blown argument—right in the middle of the store. That should have been the first red flag, but unfortunately, we proceeded based on my elderly mother-in-law’s past experience when they had a larger location.
Fast forward to picking up the jewelry, and things somehow got worse. Since my mother-in-law is elderly and recently had surgery, she physically could not return to the store, so my fiancé and I went on her behalf. We had all the necessary information to retrieve the jewelry, yet the owner’s daughter, who was unbelievably rude and unprofessional, refused to release it unless we FaceTimed my mother-in-law. Fine. We called her.
But even after seeing and speaking with her, this heartless woman demanded my mother-in-law physically find the original receipt—despite us explaining that she has mobility issues and cannot walk well. Instead of showing an ounce of compassion, the worker forced her to struggle up the stairs to search for it while audibly out of breath and clearly in distress. And even then, when my mother-in-law finally found the receipt, the worker continued to degrade and berate her, complaining that she wasn’t holding the phone steady enough to show it.
Only after this completely unnecessary and cruel ordeal did they finally release the jewelry.
This store is a disgrace. The owner and his youngest daughter have zero professionalism, zero respect for customers, and zero human decency. There are hundreds of jewelry stores on Devon Avenue—do yourself a favor and take your business anywhere else. Regal Jewelers does not deserve your time,...

If you pay in cash, under no circumstances should you allow their staff to take your money into a back room."for the counting machine"
I withdrew a large sum from the bank and counted it carefully twice. When I got home, I Counted it again. 20 minutes later at the shop counter, my father and I each counted the money again in full view of five employees. An employee, Mita, then vaguely pointed to the back of the room and asked if she can "use the money counter" before she took the cash into another room to use a money counting machine. DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO DO THIS She returned within a minute claiming the cash was $2,000 short of the amount we just counted numerous times. They insisted I misplaced the money or brought the wrong amount. Which is a blatant lie. After 30 minutes of arguing and a demand to see camera footage, they must have realized that we wouldn't be leaving so easily without getting my attorney and the police involved, so they attempted to "return" a transaction that my sister had made moments earlier..as they began counting out $2000 the table, I picked it up and told them that that $2000 is mine and they shoukd do the right thing and allow me to leave..
At the very least of a disgusting attempt to steal $2,000, they did allow me to leave with my cash.
Me.very careful people and record yourself counting the money and having them count in...
