I go to this store pretty often and the store itself is great, but I've had multiple uncomfortable situations trying to check out. I don't know his name, but the man running the register fairly often is EXTREMELY aggressive about pushing the store rewards program. I don't know if he gets a bonus or something based on how many people he signs up, but every visit he is overly persistent and this morning was probably the worst I've experienced.
He was holding up the family in front of us in the same way, I heard the gentleman in front of us eventually say "No, I JUST want to pay for this and leave." When it was my turn, I politely said no thank you to signing up THREE separate times and he still continued to push, refusing to push the screen to the payment prompt. He pushed the rewards program again and my husband stated that I already said multiple times that I was not interested, please let us pay because we would like to leave. The cashier had an immediate attitude and replied back that my husband could not leave until I finished, to which my husband replied that I could not finish because he would not let me pay. The cashier replied "That's the good part, I'm the one that gets to control the pace of this." I tried to remain polite for the rest of the transaction, but this was awful.
If this was a one off interaction, I would write it off as a bad day, but EVERY time I have this employee as a cashier he holds up the line trying to push rewards on every person. I have zero issues with the store itself, the selection is nice and prices aren't bad, but this individual really makes me want to...
Read moreEvery single time I go in here the guy at the register tries to talk me into a card in a condescending tone as if I’m an idiot for not signing up for the program presented that day.
Today, I specifically told this same individual “I do not want to hear about your plans I just want to purchase this and leave.”
So, he decides to tell me anyway as my kids are just wanting to dig into the items purchased. I asked him if he had kids, because if he did he would certainly understand we don’t want to hear your 10minute spiel in a tone that is not respectful.
He of course replied that he did not and had to have the final say on our way out of how it “seems counterintuitive to not have the plan if your in such a hurry.”
This unnecessary approach was the nail in the coffin today. I will not be back. My family had a very enjoyable time looking at all the holiday items, but leaving today I was not happy. This is not how a customer should be spoken to by simply requesting that they just want to spend their hard earned money with your business and leave without harassment, without hearing your sales pitch.
Coincidentally, the lady that was in front of me checking out had the same experience. I personally witnessed her saying “no thank you. No thank you no thank you…..her nice smile went to a frown leaving as well……
Guy with glasses at the register. You know who you are. Reader beware! Yes, I also asked him to stop and how I did not like how I was treated....
Read moreI love shopping here, I always find unique decorations and furniture for my house. However, the reason I'm giving a three star is because I went into the store earlier today with my 7 week old and my 4 year old to do some shopping. Well as anyone should know, a 7 week old will eventually need to have their diaper changed. Well, sure enough I go into the bathroom with both children to find there is no changing table in the WOMEN'S BATHROOM!!! This a HUGE inconvenience to not only me, but a lot of Mom's, and I'm sure there is not one in the men's restroom either. There are father's who actually do change diapers as well. Please put a changing table in both the restrooms. I'm also sad to say that I will not be coming back to this store until there is one placed in both restrooms. It's too much of a hassel to change an infant in their carseat. I would have even taken him out to my car, but that's also a lot of work to park my shopping cart and take ALL of my stuff and both my children back out to the car to change my infant just to turn around and go back in. We might as well just leave then because both kids are going to be upset at this point. Did I mentionI it was a cold, rainy day today? Don't think my 7week old wants to be changed in outside in the freezing rain!!! So like I said earlier, I will not be coming back until there is a changing table placed in...
