Foxtail Golf Club — Attraction in Rohnert Park

First, I need to make it clear that my daughter did not use Foxtail as her venue for her wedding. I can only review my dealings with Frankie Aguilar of Foxtail Sales Team. My daughter had planned a destination wedding (we are from Wisconsin) at a venue in Sonoma. Everything was set. Then 3 1/2 months prior to the wedding, her plans were derailed when the two family members, who said they would pay for a $15,000 wedding, simply decided not to. My daughter and her fiancé had no means to pay for this wedding, nor did her father or I. Because most of the guests had already purchased their plane tickets and reserved their accommodations, I spent an afternoon desperately trying to find a place near Sonoma for a very inexpensive wedding. That is when I came across the Wedgewood venues. I initially called the main office who informed me that the company owned about 30 venues. Denise (or is it Chenise?) PATIENTLY tried to find a place close to Sonoma that could accommodate a Friday or Saturday wedding the week my daughter had planned. This call led me to Frankie at Foxtail. He was very understanding and set up a phone consultation with my daughter later that day. After the consultation, my daughter informed me that she would be able to have her wedding for as cheaply as $2,500 on the Friday before her planned wedding date (luckily all the guests were arriving on Thursday, so she was able to move the date up one day). I would list everything my daughter was going to get for this price (unbelievable), but that would be unfair as I know Frankie was helping a very desperate bride and he could not make a habit of discounting their prices. We ended up not having to move the venue because when the wedding coordinator at the original venue discovered what had happened, she said she was not going to let my daughter down and they would work something out that was affordable. My brother just had his wedding here. It was a blast gazebo next to the pond was picture perfect. The reason im rating to 2 stars however is 1) miscommunication, wedding event staff didnt communicate with us professionally or efficiently as one would expect to receive when paying that much for the venue. 2) the most pertinent reason for my 2 star rating is the rude, egotistical, self absorbed dj that rubbed 80% of attendees the wrong way with snide comments and unprofessional behavior. Totally out of line, and simply put immature and conceited. You would think an older man who kept telling attendees "he was kinda famous, slightly a celebrity dj" would be able to play the songs requested in order and at the proper times and when it was djs choice he played songs so old, even or senior guests where suprised, straight failed at reading the room. His comments to the the groom, my brother, throughout the entirety of the wedding were immature, insulting, and way out of line. My brother should have never had to hear that from some random old wash up dj on the happiest day of his life. I will never recommend this place if asked where a good wedding venue is cause of this.
