Would we stay again... YES! We have actually stayed here 4 times in the last 2 months! Here's what you can expect:
◆ Room Type: Valley View King Suite (see picture). Located at 67 Golf Course Dr W, Rohnert Park, CA 94928
◆ Free parking—They will ask for your license plate number and the make and model of your vehicle. If you have two or more vehicles, make sure you list all of them upon check-in. Otherwise, they will tow away any cars that were not registered.
◆ No resort fee!
◆ Free shuttle to take you to from the Graton Casino (inquire at the front desk)
◆ Pets are welcome (fee applies). They have a small outdoor gated area for your fur babies as well, but there is also a field and a nice long sidewalk across the street for a good walk.
◆ Decent-sized gym (located outside in a separate building near the pool) with your basic workout equipment. They also had a sauna & steam room inside the gym building as well!
◆ Large gated outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and small kids pool, along with outdoor seating & umbrellas. They also had 1 large fire pit, along with multiple tables & chairs for more outside seating. Connected to this secondary area, the onsite restaurant (Barrel Bar & Bistro) had an outdoor bar/window area that you could order from.
◆ Speaking of food, they provide free continental breakfast (in the lobby area) and the 'Oxford social' in the evenings during the week. During this event, they provide cookies, one free mixed drink or wine, and one hors d'oeuvre per adult (one night, they had a chicken skewer, another night, nachos, and the next, taquitos). When you check in, they will provide individual tickets to be redeemed for both your breakfast and the social hour. Last but not least, for those late-night snack attacks, there is also a small snack & beverage section (fee applies) located behind the front desk.

▸ We have stayed on both sides of the building. The valley view rooms face the pool & a field, whereas the front of the building faces the freeway. Nate is a light sleeper, so this is something we always pay attention to! So, if you are a light sleeper, we suggest either booking a valley view room or asking the front desk if they can accommodate you getting a room on the valley view side, due to being a light sleeper.
▸ The customer service has been excellent every time we have stayed (roughly 6 times in the last few months)!
▸ Location, location, location! Within walking distance, you can easily get to a few bars and restaurants, stores, and shopping, along with a 3-minute walk to the Graton Casino. There is also a Starbucks and Mexican restaurant that shares the same parking lot, along with a few other large retailers (Home Depot, Walmart, a few small businesses) that sit right next door to the hotel.
▸ As you may already know (if you read our other blog regarding our stay at Hotel Centro By Hilton), we have stayed at two hotels in Rohnert Park, and we prefer the Oxford Suites over Hotel Centro. Yes, Hotel Centro is a bit more modern & newer than the Oxford Suites (imo). Here are a few key differences between the two:
The Oxford Suites was built in 2017, whereas Hotel Centro was built in 2020
Oxford Suites is designed to capture the 'look' of a wine country estate, vs Hotel Centro has a much more modernized look & feel
The Oxford offers free breakfast & a free 'social hour' snack and beverage, vs Hotel Centro charges a fee for breakfast
Hotel Centro tends to be a bit higher in pricing by about $40 per night

Read moreMy stay at the Oxford Suites in Sonoma County, Rohnert Park was a complete disaster, and I can’t believe how awful this place turned out to be. What started as a minor inconvenience quickly turned into a series of unprofessional, frustrating, and frankly, shocking experiences that ruined my entire trip. To start, I had to extend my stay by an additional day, which was the only smooth part of the whole ordeal. The staff was polite and accommodating when I made the change. Little did I know, that would be the calm before the storm. The very first morning, I was repeatedly woken up by a combination of obnoxious phone calls and people banging on my door. I had to deal with this early-morning chaos before heading off to a friend’s wedding. Upon leaving, I was called at 8 PM—right in the middle of the ceremony—and told I needed to return to the hotel to make a payment, even though I had already paid the day before. The person on the phone insisted I come back immediately. I tried to get clarity and asked to speak with a manager, but the response I received was, “Unfortunately, I am the manager.” How’s that for customer service? After I insisted on resolving the issue later, the "manager" begrudgingly sent me a link to complete the payment. I did so, but when I returned to check back in late that night, things got even worse. They then demanded to see my ID, making me feel like they assumed I was a criminal or something. Seriously, I spent an hour and a half of my friend’s wedding dealing with this ridiculous mess. The next day, I spoke to the day shift manager, who promised the general manager would call me Monday. Guess what? No call. When I followed up on Tuesday, the response was completely dismissive. The manager barely acknowledged my frustration and offered a “resolution” that was laughable—a small discount on one of the two nights I had paid for. After everything I went through, a measly discount on one night felt like a slap in the face. At this point, I called corporate, hoping to escalate the matter and actually get the customer service I deserved. Well, that was another dead end. Not only did corporate show zero urgency in addressing my concerns, but the response I received was lackluster and unhelpful. It’s clear that this hotel, from the staff to management to corporate, has no regard for their guests or the service they provide. This place is completely unorganized, unprofessional, and unqualified to handle any guest with a basic level of respect. My stay was riddled with mistakes, confusion, and poor customer service at every turn. Do yourself a favor—stay far away from Oxford Suites in Rohnert Park. It’s an absolute nightmare, and I’ll...

We’ve stayed at this location before and had a great experience, which is why we decided to come back. Unfortunately, this stay didn’t quite live up to the standard that initially brought us here.
The Good: It’s in a great location walking distance to the casino (with a free shuttle option) and close to plenty of food spots like In-N-Out and Starbucks. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the complimentary breakfast is solid. We appreciated the social hour, which includes a drink voucher for a cocktail and a small appetizer.
The Disappointment: Unfortunately, the room had a noticeable issue. Our bathroom had ants. When we informed the concierge, she didn’t seem surprised, which was concerning. Since we were heading out for a few hours, we asked if it could be taken care of while we were gone. When we returned about six hours later, the ants were gone but left the dead ants behind. We chose not to escalate the issue in the moment and just focused on enjoying our stay, but what really bothered us was the lack of follow-up. We stayed for three nights and were never contacted about the matter.
On the day we checked out, we met another guest in the elevator who said their room had a worse ant problem. They mentioned that when they approached the manager, there was no apology just a dismissive “we do what we can.”
This hotel has the potential to offer a great stay, and it’s been a go-to for us in the past. But based on this experience, it’s clear there are some maintenance and customer service issues that need to be addressed. It’s disappointing, especially for a place we had considered part of our annual travel routine.
Previous review ———————————— This hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting Rohnert Park or Sonoma. The majority of the staff were friendly and accommodating, contributing to an overall pleasant stay. The amenities are top-notch, with a nice pool area and a well-equipped gym that has a working steam room and a sauna that was out of service during my stay.
One of the standout features is their complimentary shuttle service, which conveniently takes you anywhere in Rohnert Park. Additionally, they offer a complimentary dinner snack and drink, adding to the value of your stay. Breakfast is included, eggs, bacon, potatoes are among some of the options.
However, the carpets in the hallways need improvement. During my three-day stay, they appeared to be in need of a good vacuum and steam clean, as they...
