I have never been so frustrated with a service in my life. I had one service for more than 26 years and am sorry I ever switched. The internet service has been adequate, however the TV service has been awful. I have been on the phone with problems more times since I started than I ever had with the former service. Problems have been outages, unable to get channels I was led to believe I would have, being made to believe I was the problem when it turned out I was given a controller that wasn’t working and what has happened more than a few times is there were programs I wanted to see and was told the channel was not available when it was listed. I may be a boomer (71) and definitely not a techie, but if women’s sports and college sports are on the schedule, why am I getting these “channel not available, find another one note ….” I played women’s sports before Title IX and have enjoyed being able to see women’s sports on TV, however, more than a few times of getting the “channel not available, find another” , I feel lied to and still a second class citizen, in addition being made to feel like an idiot by some of the phone people (not all, but the last one I wanted to yell—“Will you LISTEN??” )And being given faulty equipment and being made to feel it was my fault. The only thing good I have to say is that all the people who came to the house listened and were respectful.    Read moreService is spotty, getting a new phone or replacement phone is way more complicated than necessary. I’ve been with spectrum for 2 years. When my phone broke it was an absolute nightmare. They wouldn’t let me pay cash for a new phone. Then wouldn’t let me get a phone at all because my ID expired that day. The girl at the store was super rude about it for no reason. My ID expired the day before, not sure why that would matter if I’m paying cash.
The service is very spotty for the last year. Ill have full bars and nothing will load and text messages wont send. Call quality sucks too. This is right in the middle of town.
Right now I’m trying to upgrade my phone online 6 months after the last problem and it wont give me a trade in value on my iPhone 15 pro max without paying it half off. I just need the trade in value. I try the chat bar and you can not get anyone live on the app. Now I’ve been on hold for 30 minutes and still no answer. It’s been nothing but problems with spectrum since we got it.
Our home internet has been down quite a few times. To the point we now have starlink as a backup. When it does work it works decent but some times totally sucks.

   Read moreStay away from this business! I spent 35 minutes getting service set up and constantly denying the guy from upgrading my package. I receive a reference code and instruction to return my old account they closed.
I go to the store 2 days later and they have 0 positive information for me. Dealt with 4 employees, corporate, and the customer service line. They do not know where my money went and there is no account set up. The guy from customer service tells me if I bring in the person who used to live at my address we can set up service immediately but they cannot help me other than that.
I am told to come back tomorrow if I want internet and still no update on where my payment went or who took my information. I called the number directly from google, it was spectrum 100%
Absolute nightmare of a time. Try another company or stay off the internet, this company is not worth it. Worst customer experience issue I've ever had, they do not care to help the customer.
P.S. they charge you for the "set up package" because of covid haha you can't make this stuff up
Edit: when I received the survey to go over my experience I strongly disagreed with them doing a good job and the survey literally said they are having issues and it hung up! These people deserve nothing good in business, I hope...
