I have eaten here twice and both times the food has been EXCELLENT!!!! Love it!! I asked for a #3 spicy level and it will get you sniffling.
I would of given this place 5 stars except for the service the second time.
The girl with the blonde hair and piercings didn't know the menu and was asking us about it. She was there the first time we visited the restaurant at the grand opening (2-2.5 weeks ago). We asked her to bring extra plates so we could share four orders of food. She had to come back and ask how spicy for two of the orders because she forgot. That's ok we thought...no worries! Then the food was brought out and only three orders were there. We asked for extra plates again. Nothing. We waited at least 4 minutes. I went up to the front desk (where you pay). The blonde girl and another young man were there. They looked at me TWICE and stood right across from me (about three feet away). He went to the computer and she picked up a water jug, walked right past me to my left and asked a guy if he wanted water when he didn't need any. Very disappointed. :/ My family came all the way from Eastern Oregon and I told them this place was great...and they were excited and super hungry. She came over eventually. We asked a THIRD time for plates so we could eat. Our food was sitting for at least 6-7 minutes I would say...getting cold. Finally they came with plates. The blonde girl never came back to fill our water or ask about refills. Pretty sure she was avoiding our table. Don't know why, we never yelled at her or anything. My family is pretty nice. We understand that mistakes happen. Another young man was running around and working so hard he was sweating. He was doing all the work (the chef too of course) while two people did very little...wiping tables slowly, asking about water, and walking around sometimes slowly back and forth. That is why I rated it still high. The food was sooooo delicious and one person was working his butt off. I have eaten at many Thai restaurants...and the food here is VERY good Thai food. I stopped by on my way through town and picked up an order of Tom Kha soup. It was packaged well, piping hot and priced lower than most other places for a brimming full quart of delicious soup.
The soup was just right and was loaded with more chicken, mushrooms, onions and cilantro than other restaurants I frequent. I ordered it as spicy as they make it and was happy with the heat.
The staff was nice and the bathroom was clean. I will return. Great first impression.
Follow-up 02/13/2025: I've been stopping at 7 Thai for around 3 years when I am passing by along I-5, at least 20 times(probably more!) I've grabbed a Tom Kha chicken soup and stuffed it into a soft-cooler, and enjoyed it an hour and half later when I arrive at my destination. Every time I've been pleased, and it's always so hot I can't actually eat it sooner, so unless you can pour it into bowls and let it cool, plan to plan ahead.
Each time I'm surprised by the balance of flavors, textures and amount of ingredients. I've learned to make this soup myself and there is no way to make it for the cost they sell it, so I find it a great value even if the cost has risen a few dollars recently. *PLEASE READ My Bf and I called in an order yesterday and ended up sitting and eating our to-go food. I found a very small hair in my food. It was in my rice, so I put it to the side because I wasn’t sure if maybe it came off my shirt or something. Well I ended up finding 6 of the same size & black hairs in my food. My fiancé had 1 as well. We didn’t even get half way through our meal and there WAS 7 BLACK MEN HAIRS IN MY FOOD! I was disgusted. I quietly pulled a young man to the side and told him. He asked me to see the hair so I showed him. The other employees couldn’t care less. He gave me my money back and we left. But the fact they were small and there was so many, concerns me so much. Idk if someone got a haircut before work and didn’t wash their head afterwards and is having shaved hair pieces fall into my food or if it’s someone mad I asked for a special request and put their pube hairs in there idk.
