We had attended a graduation party here, and it was unfortunately terribly hot, humid and rainy that day. The hosts were well prepared, and the facility itself contained a very nice air conditioned hall with an equipped kitchen, patio and bathrooms. The staff was also helpful and friendly, and stayed to assist with clean up of the event. The view of the lake is nice, but the surrounding area and parking access needs some attention. It's a shame they are removing the parking lot behind the hall, since it is the best access for set up of any party. Read moreThis is a great secluded park featuring a playground, pavilion for parties, hiking trails and a great little pond so you can get your fish On! Don't have a fishing license? No problem bring your friends and some kiddos cause this is a catch and release pond so no need to worry about buying a license. The fishing can be hit or miss but if your bringing the kiddos there is no stopping the bites from the blue gill so they will eventually pull something out. That lasted about 10 min and a man said no dogs were allowed anywhere in the park and asked to take it out. I said ok I put the dog in the car with the a/c on and continued to let my daughter fish. Again about 10 min later the man came back down and said i couldn’t even have the dog in the car. Really?? The dogs in the car in the parking lot! I was just like whatever and left.
