I love my engagement ring, sadly, I have not had it for about 2 months and I was told that I would not see it for at least another addition 2 months. The McKnight Road Jared will give you rainbows and unicorns when you buy rings here, but in reality, it is not that great. In April 2013, my FI and I took my ring to get its 6-month inspection and I needed to get it resized. I have lost some weight since he gave me the ring a year ago and the ring was very loose even with the plastic spacers. I took it in on a Saturday and was told that my ring would be ready anytime after 4pm on Sunday. I should have known to not leave my ring there since the salesperson was creeping me out because she kept talking about how great my hair smells. She said that at least 2 times. It was being done a lot faster than I thought. We wanted to ensure that the ring would be ready so we called Jared before we went up there. We were told that one of the small diamonds got loose and it would have to be shipped out to be repaired. It would take about 2-4 weeks to get fixed, but they would keep us updated. A little upset, but we understand things like this happen. Well we never received a phone call from them and my FI called them on May 6, 2013. The sales person there said that the ring came back on May 1, 2013, but it was sent back out for some reason and did not know, but would have the tech. call us back and let us know. She did call us back within 24 hours and let us know that when she was looking at the ring after it came back she saw that one of the bigger diamonds had a scratch on it. How in the hell does a diamond scratch, that does not make any sense at all. She said she sent the ring back on a rush delivery It was so "nice" of them to not call us when it came in to give us an update about the ring. My FI and I stopped back to Jared on June 1, 2013. We were greeted, but a very very rude manager. She had no time at all for us. She had a person in her sales team look to see if our ring was in and it was not. She said she would have someone call us within a week. We received a phone call from the tech. (only nice and responsible person that works in the McKnight Road Jared) on June 11, 2013. She felt bad in telling us that it would be at least 2 more months until we got our ring. Lovely, will not have a ring for my bridal shower. I may not even have a ring for my wedding. I was fuming mad. I asked my FI to call corporate Jared since this was taking too long. He was on the phone for a while and was bounced through a few people. He finally talked to someone and they told him that they would have someone call us the next day since the repair place was not open. On June 12, 2013, they did call, but they called me instead of my FI. I let my FI know and he called customer service back. On June 13, 2013, the customer care called my FI and said that we would get a new ring in 2-3 months. This is after my bridal shower and wedding. I do not want a new ring, I want my engagement ring. I do not want to wait another few months. This is...
Read moreYesterday, we walked into Jared to get my fiance's ring size. I also asked about resizing mg ring. They said that they would be able to size down and re-add in my inscription. I have a specific brand name ring, and I asked if they would be able to keep the copyright(brand name) inside the ring as well as my inscription (everything fit as is). They came back out said they would do it no problem. I then asked for a list of fonts, which they showed me. I specifically pointed go the Bella Dot (or Donna) that was a few lines from the top, and then said I don't want that one, but I want this one...Twice. They said they'd do it by the next day at 5pm. They kep reassuring me that everything would be in there. I go to pick it up tonight, and let me tell you, I feel like they ruined my ring. They made it significantly thinner. They kept my 18k ring guard (they kept saying they would only make it thicker again if j had photos to prove it). Strange how they didn't have photos of my ring to show everything that was there ebfroe versus after. They told me that it's thinner because of comfort fit, but it is soo drastic. They put in the font that I specifically said I wanted. I'm not 12, so I don't want a font with cirly q's. The manager was trying to be really nice, but she didn't believe me when I said both the copyright with the brand name and my inscription fit before they ruined it. If they didn't severely shrink down the size of my ring's width, then it certainly wouldn't be a problem. Not to mention, the only part of the copyright symbol they kept was the copyright symbol...as if that matters. Now I have to try to find a photo that clearly shows allth original details or they aren't going to fix it. They would try to replicate the brand logo to put it back in, but they said it was one of the other. Right now it looks myddied and awful. They even said that no one sees the inside but me....exactly. My ring. My inscription ruined. Your mistake. Fix it. Horrible experience all around. Certainly will not be buying anything...
Read morePlease take the time to read this full review, because you should know why this is the place for any custom design work you want to do. I came in with a very clear vision (in my head) of what I wanted to design for my now fiancée, and Ayrelle made me feel heard and began getting to work on setting up my free profile. She was awesome. Then Alexis became my lead designer and point of contact — she’s the reason my fiancée’s friends still haven’t stopped talking about how envious they are of this ring. She was compassionate, attentive, highly experienced, and clear about every detail of the process from start to finish. We designed together for nearly 2 months with no down payment and tons of demands and revisions from my side. For every version, she would get a 3D design sample made in addition to the computerized rendering so I could see what it looked like in real life. That was so helpful, because you could even click the real diamond into the plastic model to see how it would look. Each time I sent paragraphs of requests and questions, Alexis listened to every word and helped me make it all a reality. What I thought would be one of the most stressful parts of getting married became so enjoyable I was almost sad once the designing was over and I picked up the finished product. The rest of the team were so invested in my journey that they were one of the first people I told once I got engaged. I could not recommend this team or location more strongly if you want to start your lifetime of happiness off on the right foot (or should I...
