Dive Bar & Grille (North Hills) — Restaurant in Ross Township

I got the crab mac and my girlfriend and I shared a calamari. It was honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Calamari was rubbery and the sauce it came with was very oily/fatty. My crab mac was over seasoned and the crab cakes were dry with a strange taste. The top half was super salty and bottom half was bland. I’ve never sent food back before but this was the first time I wasn’t able to finish something because of its taste.

However, with that being said, our waitress was very kind and apologetic and kindly removed the crab mac from our bill when the complaint was made. She offered to send it back to the kitchen for it to be remade but I lost my appetite by then. The atmosphere was nice and lots of tv’s playing sports which was nice to watch at the time. It was a little quiet for a Saturday night but no complaints there.

I probably won’t be returning because I don’t live in the area, but if you’re reading this review I would still give it a shot. The service is great and based on other reviews, the food seems good. I probably just ordered the wrong things on the menu and got a one off.

(also note that the calamari was half eaten. We were really hungry lol so...

My fiance and I came here about 3 years ago and we loved it. This time around everything changed for the worst. Last time we got pretzel rods with beer cheese.. the pretzels were golden and fluffy. This time the pretzels were bites and they were burnt the cheese looked like ranch before we tasted it. I got a Buffalo chicken sandwich last time and the chicken was on a round bun, smothered in Buffalo sauce so much so the blue cheese crumbles that I didn't like didn't bother me. And the lettuce was a big crisp piece of lettuce. This time the chicken was like dipped in Buffalo sauce but other wise dry, the lettuce was limp and chopped into shreds... and the chicken was on a footlong bun cut in half. The side salad had almost no Ceasars dressing on it and I had to wait until I got my food to ask for more dressing. Last time there were designated waiters and waitresses not one person taking out food, one or two people filling drinks and a few people at the bar. I'm beyond disappointed and will not be back its not our waiters fault he seems like he was trying and mightve been new. I miss how this...

Mediocre Customer Service & Frendliness! I just relocated from Texas with a Famly background in Music & entertainment, management etc. I visited this place for Business & entertainment with the intentions of booking a show. As I usually do I visited this place alone to test the environment, Customer service & atmosphere. I got stares, side-eyes, the Customer service was dry, the waitress/bartender seemed as though she had an attitude and vague when answering my questions regarding, music & entertainment. The layout is great & I wanted to explore the upstairs, I was pointed in the direction, I wasn't informed of the elevator, nor was I cautioned of the extremely slippery floors. The bartender couldn't remember what I wanted & had to keep asking me, I purchased "Ruben Fries " once I paid & received my food I left, I didn't eat my food because of the terrible Customer service I couldn't trust the quality.
