I Shopped here & Purchased Everything I Needed for a New Apartment. I am Beyond Regretful that I Ever Stepped Foot into an Ashley's Spending more than 5K on ALL New Furniture! First the Bedroom Chest of Drawers came Damaged & I had to wait Weeks for a New one which Delayed my ability to Unpack. Second the Dresser was Broken, but the Delivery Team Insisted on the Drawer going in. That is until the first time I Opened the Drawer & the Dresser Collapsed causing another Weeks long Wait! Third, the TV Stand was ALL Nicked up because the Delivery Team didn't know how to Install the Fireplace Insert & Trying to Install it from the Front instead of doing it correctly from the Back! Causing yet another Weeks long wait for an Exchange which still isn't Perfect by any means. Fourth, I found a Tear in my Mattress undetermined as to How this happened, they had me Submit Pictures & Offered me a $90 Credit or an Even Exchange. That was a No Brainer, as I Chose an Even Exchange & waited even more Weeks for the Exchange! This Experience with Ashley's has been EXHAUSTING! I had No Idea that they are Affiliated with Levin's! That is until a Levin's Delivery Truck pulled into the Parking Lot of my Apartment Complex. IF I wanted Levin's Furniture, I would have Shopped @ Levin's in the First place! Then I was told by one of the Delivery person's that Ashley's is actually BIG LOT'S Knock Offs! I can't even Describe how DISAPPOINTED I am with Ashley's from Beginning to End! I Wish I could Return ALL of it @ this point partly because I Purchased a 5 Year Warranty that I'm told IF I don't use in 5 Years, I will be Refunded my Money for the Warranty! I am 71 Years Old & Highly Doubt I will Ever see the Warranty Money. A Top-Level Huge Mistake was Ever Walking into an Ashley's in the first place. I'm Stuck with a Bunch of Misfit Furniture that I'm Unhappy & Beyond Disappointed with! GO ANYWHERE ELSE, but my Suggestion would be to start with Big Lots!! Since Ashley's Furniture is actually BIG LOT'S Knock Offs!!!! Never Offered me a Nickle Off for ALL of the Inconvenience is Nonsense! They're ALL about the Money & Nothing matters but the Money because they will Inconvenience you until you actually give up!
Update: Shortly after Posting this Review, I Received a Message. I Returned the Call & left a Message. Kelly Called me back & was very Apologetic & Sympathetic towards my situation & what I have been going thru. She is trying to Resolve the issues, has Scheduled a Tech to come out on 8/1 & said she will Follow Up with me once their Tech has completed his Visit. This is ALL very much Appreciated because I was really Feeling that no one really could have cared less until I talked to Kelly & @ least now, I Feel that they're willing to work with me to @ least try to Resolve some of the issues I've been having. Thank-You Kelly, I look forward to talking with you again after we see what the Tech that you have Scheduled has to say. I Appreciate your time & Genuine Concern.
Update: This is my 6-Month-Old Recliner Sofa Cushion separating Fabric. There doesn't Appear to be a Resolution in Sight, so I've reached out to the PA Attorney General's Consumer Protection for their Help now. I am Hopeful for an amicable Solution to ALL of the issues I have faced & continue to face with Ashley's Furniture. As for the Platinum Warranty that I Paid a whopping $369.83 for, I was also told by my Salesperson Diane Stumpf that IF the Warranty is Not used in 5 Years that it is Fully Refundable. I've come to find out this too is a Store Voucher & Not an actual Refund. I don't have any use for an Ashley's Voucher now or in 5 Years from now! I have only had my Furniture for 6 Months & the Platinum Warranty doesn't even go into effect until after the First Year! I can't even get 6 Months out of this Furniture that I have had Nothing but trouble with & I am Heartbroken to say the least. First let me say, my salesperson Mary Ann was very nice and pleasant to deal with; the delivery persons were very polite, this review is about management and the quality of their merchandise. I purchased a $6k 7-pc bedroom set plus accessories from Ashley on McKnight Rd in mid-February. When it was delivered 2 weeks later, all but 1 nightstand and mirror were damaged and had to be returned. The headboard was busted so badly it looked like it had been kicked; other pieces had the corners smashed in, large scratches and scuffs and definitely not in new condition. I should have refused all of it, but when I spoke to the delivery manager he assured me the next delivery would not be damaged, so I kept the only 2 pieces that weren't damaged. It took 3 weeks to get a new delivery, I spoke to my salesperson several days before the second delivery and was assured the pieces would be checked before they were loaded on the truck to make sure they were not damaged; that did not happen. The second delivery shows up, I let them know what the deal was from the first attempted delivery and they started checking items and again, damaged furniture being delivered. I told them to take it all back and I would be cancelling my order. I asked them to take back the nightstand and mirror that was delivered prior. They called their manager, and she told me that they were unable to take back previously delivered items but that the store manager would be calling me that day to sort it out. This was on Saturday, March 18th, its now the 22nd and no one has contacted me about how to return the 2 pieces that were previously delivered, and the charges for the damaged furniture that was refused is still pending on my card. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. I'm not keeping or paying for 2 pieces to a set that after 2 attempts was unable to be delivered in new condition. If I had the time I would sit in front of that store and warn people not to go in, that's how bad of an experience this has been. If I could give 0 stars to this company I would. Experience I had was extremely unpleasant and strongly encourage anyone reading this to pay the extra money and shop anywhere but Levin Furniture and Ashley Furniture in the Western-PA area.
I purchased a couch 11/24 and promptly received order confirmation (great). On 11/30 I noticed a charge on my credit card that was not approved by Ashley Furniture. After calling in about this unknown charge I found out that Ashley furniture (corporate) sold some franchises to Levin Furniture and that I needed to speak to Levin. Once transferred I was educated that all Ashley stores and website sales have different internal systems which direct sales orders differently. Since my sale was done online, I needed to be transferred to the website team (which is overseas). After seven transfers I get connected with someone in my local store in Western-PA. He is extremely apologetic and assures me that he can cancel the mysterious charge, no problem.
The mysterious charge ended up being a protection plan that was auto-populated on their site and needs you to un-check the box. I un-checked the box and some systems had invoices for my order showing no protection plan, with other systems showing I had a protection plan..

In an attempt to cancel only the protection plan, the representative cancels the entire order. He then tells me I need to speak to corporate to reinstate my order.
Upon the eighth (8) transfer I speak to a women named Michele, who was awful. Very awkward and strange conversation that ultimately distills to they cannot reinstate my order and I will have to replace it online and the delivery is going to be pushed out another two weeks.
Sad to say I am going to go to Amazon to purchase the furniture I had ordered originally through Ashley. It's experiences like this that make me wonder, why even go anywhere else.
