This place probably has the best rice in all of Pittsburgh. And I say this as someone who didn't even order a rice-based dish! I got the Chana masala, paratha, gulab jamun, and vegetable samosas. When I first arrived to the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly lady who quickly found my takeout order and gave me a compliment. I'd think the service would be quite good here. My Chana masala was excellent, maybe the best in Pittsburgh. The sauce was thick and had a nice undertone of sweetness, which is not usually present in masala sauces. It was a bit more on the oily side, though, but the oil did have a good flavor too. The portion was great. I thought the spice was perfect, but it would be nice if the website asked for spice level or customization. The main entree is accompanied by delicious rice. It has the perfect amount of oil, spice, salt, and carrots (or some orange vegetable). The paratha is not very airy, as it is more of a heavy bread. It's pretty good, but in my opinion, not worth $4. Next time, I will likely order naan. The samosas are really excellent though! Absolutely huge, full of potato chunks, nice bits of chunks, and great crisp too. The gulab jamun were quite tasty, too. Decent amount of syrup and good size to them, although they were not that exciting. Again, I'm not sure if it's worth $8 for 4 gulab jamuns, but they are tasty. Overall, the food is excellent. Most of the portions are huge and the flavor is amazing. A few items I thought were alright but not worth the price (paratha and gulab jamun).

Outstanding service and authentic tasting Northern Indian/Pakistani food. The family wanted dinner for 4 this evening. Looked up the menu online and used the online ordering to select our feast. Very simple to use and such a great selection of dishes. I called live to add an additional aloo tikki appetizer and was helped by Tiffany. She advised the fresh made to order food would be ready in 30 minutes. We drove up to the front and called for curbside delivery. Tiffany promptly brought out our order which was packaged properly and placed into the car. She also thanked us for ordering from them. We got home and the dinner was still hot. We had chicken tikka which was accompanied with biryani rice, salas and a green chutney. The chicken was tender and had the right level of spices. We also ordered chicken tikka masala which comes with basmati rice and added 2 naan and a side of raita. Again, this was authentic and tasted just like home. The dinner was great, we all were full and still had leftovers for a great lunch next day. We are lucky to have such a restaurant with great service and authentic Asian food in the North Hills. You have try it for yourself, be sure to adjust the spice level based on your tastes.

First of all for being Kabob King looking at their menu they only had two kabobs beef and a chicken. We had the chicken tikka masala which wasn't bad but typical being the chicken was really dry and overcooked. If it wasn't for the sauce I would have needed it much more water than I got. Also they didn't have any ice cubes so hopefully you like warm water. Also got the beef wrap which was almost in all reality a gyro made with pita bread but not as much flavor. The garlic naan was good as was the rice on its own. Add the tikka masala sauce made a little bit better. I wanted to get a shrimp dish but they had no shrimp. I may go back and get that as the vindaloo is supposed to be spicy hot. Tried the buffet for the first time it was a little better as they had different things to try. The biggest problem was a couple of the chicken dishes look like they were boneless chicken with a sauce which the sauce wasn't too bad but they were bones small bones that somebody could have choked on. I'm not talking about the barbecue chicken I'm talking more the ones with the sauces. Most things taste almost alike and Bland

This short writing does not relay the quality and variety of the choices available at Kabab King on McKnight Road. This restaurant is a world away from its’ fast food connotation and is enjoyable for the entire family. The meals are large, delicious, authentic, tasty, while served in a welcoming clean environment by persons who want to succeed in pleasing you and your guests.

WOW! Can’t think of another word to express the wonderful meals that we have had at Kabab King. Eating there was truly an event, an epicurean delight featuring Indian and Pakistani Cusine prepared by very talented ethnic chiefs; served by extremely friendly, confident and knowledgable servers like “Tiffiny”. I had lunch in a clean, comfortable surrounding. There are so many choices. I finally deciding on okra served Bindi Marsala; seasoned rice; salad with house dressing…..topped the meal off with freshly made garlic naan. This is a restaurant where very good and excellent become WOW.

I've been there twice since opening and it is fast becoming my favorite eatery. It has been exceptional from beginning to end each time. Our server, Tiffany does such a fantastic job that you feel like a member of their family. She is a true gem. Now on to the food. The dinners come with a nice simple salad consisting of lettuce, tomato, and cucumber with a dressing that is creamy, spicy and about perfect. The naan and paratha breads are fresh and very flavorful. The basmati rice that comes with most meals is very good, cooked perfectly and flavored well. My chicken hiryali kabab was about as good a meal as you can get. The chicken was tender and flavorful. I highly recommend it. They have a nice selection of both meat and vegetarian foods for you to try and what I've had tastes like homemade food, not overly processed junk or fast food. They have 4 different desserts and we tried the gulab juman and it was a perfect sweet to end a meal. You are also served, if desired a milk tea that has a nice blend of spices and is a nice warm way to end a meal. They do carryout, phone, online and doordash as well, but for my tastes, I will be back to eat in again soon. Kabab King is a wonderful change of pace from all of the chain restaurants that inundate the...
