Golden Ring Plaza — Attraction in Rossville

This has got to be the cruddiest shopping center I've ever seen. There's trash scattered all throughout the parking lot, seagulls are always flying everywhere because they're feasting on the McDonald's French fries and other foods that people have left on the ground. In fact it's so cruddy I don't even pay attention to the other stores. There's a Home Depot, Walmart, GameStop. Your lunch/dinner options (besides Mickey D's) are Panda Express, Chipotle, and Jimmy John's, to name a few. For ice cream and frozen yogurt you have the choices of Dairy Queen or Sweet Frog. My mom likes Sam's Club, and I do too, but if it wasn't for that I would avoid this place like the plague. Usually when I go to a shopping complex, whether it's indoors or outdoors, I like going into all of the stores to see what I can find, but not Golden Ring. When we go to Sam's Club we buy the stuff we need and then leave. This is not a shopping center to spend the day just leisurely browsing around. For one thing the environment doesn't give off safe vibes. All of the shoppers have an extremely rough appearance. I'm not exaggerating, pretty much every single person you see looks like they're on drugs. It's weird how the area is so ghetto because it's not that terrible of a neighborhood, plus you're still within the county boundaries. My theory is that most people in the Baltimore metro region just like to be ghetto because they think it's fashionable. I'm black myself, so in no way am I trying to make fun of anyone, I'm just going from what I observed. I've been to the inner city of Philadelphia and people don't even look as bad as they do at Golden Ring Shopping Center. I feel so out of place whenever I come here. The parking lot isn't large enough to accommodate the gigantic amount of customers. I know one thing's for sure, coming here on a Saturday is an adventure! Lol. Unless you frequently purchase food and other supplies from big box stores, then I wouldn't advise this shopping plaza. Only come here if you absolutely need something. I gave another star for Sam's Club, but other than that my advice would be...

Hate this area...parking is awful...cars scraping against other cars all the time...no safe way for pedestrians to navigate thru the lot after they have found a parking spot...very dangerous trying to look for a space with so much pedestrian traffic... SAM'S club is always busy with people parking at the doorway to load their cars n trucks of whatever stuff they bought...block everything up... The other end is Home Depot...n they have a pull off lane...just for loading so it doesn't interfere with the flow of traffic Although this Walmart is closer to my home...I won't use it...store is a mess...shelves r sloppy n disarrayed ...can never find what I want....homeless people all over the place...n when I get back to my car .. I see it has been hit The route 40 side has an: Office Depot...nice wide aisles n everything is neat n prices r well marked...great staff n a public restroom... Pet Co...West Marine... Panera Bread.. I haven't used these businesses...but all 3 have plenty parking n easily accessible The store I use the most here is 5°Below...easily accessible parking wise...BUT store is always crowded...tiny skinny aisles...customers always lined up at the registers.,. wait...wait..wait...but I love this store anyway...their inventory is massive (accounts for their narrow aisles). Everything is bright n cheery... They sell things other retailers don't... N EVERYTHING'S $...

Busy shopping area, years ago it's was very nice but as the years have gone by the area is not as nice!! It's trashy most days**(people throw their trash all over the place, the parking lot is a🗑dumpster!!CRIME📈IS BAD!! you have to be cautious at all times!! 2 times I have seen grown women 🤼‍♂️fighting in Walmart literally fist fighting & throwing things at each other!! COPS🚔 HAD BEEN CALLED FOR A ROBBERY AT A STORE IN THE SHOPPING CENTER-we were getting in our car and the COPS👨🏻‍✈️RAN BY WITH GUNS🔫 IN HAND CHASING SUSPECT!!! ALL IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!! *Alot of homeless people asking for money, asking for food, doing drugs and drinking in broad daylight!! It's Ridiculous!! THE POLICE NEED TO DO SOMETHING!!
