On November 19, 2022, I brought my daughter and seven of her friends to SkyZone to celebrate her 13th Birthday. The kids were extremely excited to attend Skyzone with all the COVID-19 limitations lifted. It was highly packed upon our arrival, and the atmosphere was chaotic. We stood in line for over 25 minutes before someone could finally help us. The young lady that helped us push your membership. I was going to get the $25 dollar Elite option for that one night, but she explained that if I brought the monthly option for $3 dollars more ($28), we would come more often.
That evening I had to confront a large group of young boys while there with my girls. These young boys started following my girls around the place unwarranted. These young boys were making suggestive comments to my young ladies. The girls came looking for me in a corner where I sat because of the crowding inside the building. The boys followed them into the designated female restroom. My girls immediately ran out, and when they came out of the restroom, one of the young boys grabbed my daughter’s friend by the arm. By this time I was in the area, and I immediately grabbed her arm away from him and told them to stay away from my girls. They argued with me, and I asked for their parent as I did not want to have any conflict with someone else’s child. I discovered these young boys had been dropped off by parents hours before this encounter. Apparently, these drop-offs occur every weekend. This is extremely libelous and a risk management matter for your company. These young boys followed my girls into the female restroom, and anything could have occurred. While there, I noticed huge closed-off spots that your staff cannot monitor. Another parent nearby noticed these boys’ unwarranted behavior, and we began conversing. She mentioned that she saw those boys notice my girls upon our arrival. They were seemingly on a higher landing and started pointing and strategizing about my girls. You all need some security, at least during the weekends. I am concerned for the safety of others.
While speaking to this same parent, she mentioned that the membership you are pushing is a mandatory three-month requirement. I was not told this during the time at the register. Now I understand why that young lady stated I could not use cash; it had to be my credit card. This is a deceptive tactic and predatory. I will never bring my girls back after that encounter with...
Read moreWe first attempted to go on a Saturday evening a couple weeks back. We had a Groupon and thought it would be a nice outing with our kids. But when we arrived we were told they weren’t accepting Groupons at that time and we also noticed there were several off-duty police officers there for security. The manager told us they could only accept a certain kind of admission ticket that evening because of “the riots” that had been happening there lately. We also spoke to one of the police officers who told us this was definitely not the place to be with kids on a Saturday evening. So we quickly left.
We decided we’d use our Groupon tonight since it is a weeknight and would presumably be less crowded and less chaotic. While there were considerably less people, the place was run very poorly and severely understaffed. There were barely any workers stationed at the attractions to ensure things were running smoothly and small kids were taking it upon themselves to operate swings and other equipment that were very clearly meant to be operated by a trained staff member. The basketball court was completely full of young men who appeared to be in the late teens to late 20s so there was no way an actual child (presumably the intended age group for a place like this) could use the court. Some of these customers and at least one of the workers were using a ton of profanity as well. On our way out there was a huge screaming match between two different groups of people. Supposedly, one of the groups was allowed in for free by one of the workers. There was no security on site but a couple of the staff members were involved with the screaming as well. People were holding each other back from fighting and ultimately the police came while we were walking out the door.
This was our second time here and the second time we saw police. Either we happened to be there at the wrong time (twice) or the police are there rather frequently.
Avoid if you can, especially...
Read moreI booked my son's birthday party at this location and hope to give him a great birthday. When I arrived at skyzone, the customer service to check it was terrible. The lady at the register kept telling me I didn't sign a waiver, and when they looked it up again,it showed it in the system. Not only was getting ud signed in an issue, but they wouldn't tell us when the room would be available. The staff told us they would notify us when the room would come available they. When didn't you find out until most of our stuff was in the room. Ontop that, they just left our cart with our shoes and other merchandise sitting in the opening of when you check it. Anyone could've grabbed or stuff and walked out with. Ontop that, the pizza we placed in order was completely garbage. The pizza was very doughy and tasted like it wasn't fully cooked. The sprite and fruit punch we ordered taste like water. When we asked to get the pizza and drink swiped out,it came out the exact same way. After checking out to pay the price, they kept saying we only were charged 10 jumpers and that we needed to pay more. When clearly on the receipt, it shows I paid for 16 jumpers. When I asked the lady at the counter to change the amount because I was charged for 16 jumpers, but only 10 showed up,they apparently kept repeating the same thing. Saying we only paid for 10 jumpers. When it showed right on the receipt, we paid for 16. We asked to speak to the manager, and it seemed like it took a while just to get him to help us. We were finally able to get the refund from the manager for the 6 jumpers and got some money back from the terrible pizza. If I could, I would give them a 0 star rating. The service and the food were completely bad. I wouldn't recommend this...
