Every time I’ve ever been to this ihop is been either curbside or pickup. I lie to you not…every. Single. Time. I’ve had over a 45 minute wait to get my food. This is AFTER calling the store multiple times because they hardly ever answer the phone. Today was it for me. I called multiple times before someone answered. When I finally got on the phone I let the person know that I would like a tray full of cooked bacon (I’ve done this plenty of times at other ihops) . She told me it would not be possible. I asked if this one sold bacon by the piece, she said yes. I said we’ll charge me by the piece then. She asked how many, I told her I did not know as I don’t know how much will fill one of their containers. She told me that would not be possible and that I had to come in to do my order. I let her know I was running a little short on time (hence the attempted pickup order) she assured me that the bacon would be cooked and we can count out the pieces in store so that she can ring it up correctly 😒 fine.
I get to the restaurant. Come in through the front door…. There’s no one there. The restaurant is open, there are customers sitting and eating but there are absolutely no employees to be seen in the front. I see some people back in the kitchen but in the main area there was absolutely no one. I waited for 15 (fifteeen!!) minutes at the front desk. NO ONE EVEN KNEW I WAS THERE. I left.

We got 2 weekday specials with eggs,bacon and pancakes and a omele meal. From the first time placing my order I told the employee who took our order that we needed silverware, the condiments we needed and told her we needed a decent amount of napkins because we were having breakfast with my mom at the nursing home and with her Parkinsons she often needs a decent amount of paper towels. The employee said no problem. The one weekday pancake meal was to have 2 over medium eggs for that meal. When we received our order I asked the employee if she gave the napkins we asked for . The employee rudely said we don't usually give those and said nastly but I will give them to you and in a annoyed manner. I gave a decent tip when we placed our order and paid. This was a $52 meal with drinks. When we arrived to have breakfast with my Mom who had the weekday pancake special with the 2 over medium eggs her eggs were raw on some parts of the eggs. They were runny and white ,they were cleat and raw like when you first Crack the eggs opened to be cooked. This is one of many reason where I don't choose to eat at IHOP. Read moreI am writing this email in reference to the excellent customer service my family and I received while dining at your restaurant. On December 26,2022 my family and I went to the Rosedale location at 8620 Pulaski Hwy it was extremely busy and crowded. This was the day after Christmas and so lots of people were out to eat. My family and I were impressed by the level of professionalism and customer service we experienced especially when we saw how busy the restaurant was. We were seated and our waitress was prompt and ready to assist with our needs. I was so impressed I asked to see the manager on duty. I didn’t expect to speak with the manager as quickly as I did but I was pleasantly surprised when she appeared at our table. She was busy to say the least but took the time out to attend to my family. We of course spoke highly of our waitress and the entire staff on duty as they were going above and beyond to ensure every guest was treated as if they were the most important person in the room. You don’t see this level of professionalism and customer service these days and we told your manager as much. We will be returning to this location more often and we hope that the same level of service we received that day will be repeated. Kudos to the management and staff at 8620...
